Spent 4 nights this august. What an incredible resort ! Beautiful garden, lovely staff, big pool to cool after a day of excursions in this wonderful area, a dreaming room .... Compared to other resorts in the area, Amantaka is one step beyond in every sense. Good food too, both for breakfast and dinner. For winter time you can use...

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the property (it's beautiful, in a minimalist way... and if you like colonial, you'll really like this). Our room was a bit noisy as there was a school nearby, but otherwise was appointed very nicely. The pool is great, and the food was pretty good... I wouldn't travel to Laos for...

We have just left Amantaka 5 Star Hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos. It is located well We were greeted by the hotel staff at the airport who escorted us to the visa desk which usually takes about 15 mins to process so it was suggested that we leave our passports there and he'll drive us to the hotel and he...

Amantaka is probably the most beautiful hotel in Luang Prabang. Unlike most hotels where the staff have been trained to be hospitable to the guests, the Amantaka staff were genuinely naturally nice people. The hotel premises are beautiful and spacious, nice pool, spa and gym. We had a very relaxing time there and we enjoy chatting to the staff there....

Luang Prabang is developing its tourism fast, and the gradual loss of innocence is palpable - for example in the tourist behavior at the early morning alms giving on the main drag. Amantaka however preserves this unspoiled feel. A sanctuary in this UNESCO World Heritage town, its approach is symbolized by the respectful way in which the alms giving is...

We spent a few days over the year end in this beautiful place. Our old belief "if you stay in a great hotel the surroundings do not really matter" was 100% confirmed. Luang Prabang is a cute, chaotic little village with nothing really remarkable worth flying a few hours. But the amantaka let's you ignore all this as the spa...

This is a bit belated review but since I am still telling friends about this place, perhaps it's worth sharing with others. We booked with the expectation that it would at least live up to Aman standards. Spending five nights there, I concluded that it surpassed my expectations, mainly because of the personal touch each and every staff offered in...

Beautiful hotel within beautiful surroundings. The staff is very attentive, though language could be a problem at times. Food is ok I suppose if you compare to what you get outside. Extremely expensive hotel in a beautiful back packers village. When you book: be advised that rooms 18-23 is to be avoided! There is a school right on the other...

The Amantaka is a beautiful setting in the middle of the town of Luang Prabang. While each Aman is different depending on its location, this one was a welcome relief. Our room was a the back of the property and had its own small pool. The Aman is hidden behind a small wall on well kept grounds, down the street...
