The Mekong Estate is the perfect place to get a view of the sunset. They also have a mini infinity pool with the best in the hotel. It is by the far my most relaxing place to chill in, especially early in the morning. The balcony has a nice view too. The area is so relaxing that I always fall...

We arrived at the Red House after dark and woke to an amazing view of the Mekong. Extraordinary. The service provided by Mr Toey and staff were exemplary as were the breakfasts (best croissants ever!). The rooms were well designed and luxuriously fitted out. Apart from a boisterous local karaoke party on New Year's Eve, the estate was quiet and...

We arrived quite late and because it was so dark we couldn't see what sort of view we had from our front room and balcony. We couldn't believe it when we woke up to see the Mekong just beyond our windows. It's beautiful. The room was spacious and they were kind enough to set up an extra bed and cot...

We were greeted at the airport by our guest relations host, Tui, who soon became our wonderful guide and help to see the most of this city as well as getting the most out of every day. Mekong Estate is my pick as the most luxurious private and user friendly accommodation available in Luang Prabang. We stayed in the Bambou...

We loved this place. This was the most pleasant and memorable hotel of our trip to south east asia. Ok so we were a family of 5 who had the hotel to ourselves for 3 of the 4 nights. The pool is stunning, the mekong is at the bottom of an immaculate garden. The rooms were large and full of...

Don't usually feel a deep sense of loss on leaving a hotel, but we did here. We had a vast house to ourselves that was kept stocked and immaculately clean by friendly staff, and the most magnificent views over the 25 metre pool to the Mekong. Total seclusion yet a 10 minute (free) bicycle ride from probably the best town...

Stayed in the Bamboo Suite and Garden Loft with friends. The staff was great, food was good, the rooms were excellent. Only draw back was the renovation work going on in the Mekong river. We were informed earlier and got a discount on the rooms. Lesson learned is to get rooms further away from the river if renovation work is...
