Upon arrival the staff had difficulties finding the booking. I did not wait for them and took an empty room. After half an hour they found the booking but want me to move to another room. I declined. The rooms were standard for this type of guesthouses, Breakfast was served in a sister guesthouse across the street. Nothing special and...

Nothing exceptional beyond location by lao standards. It is however, a unique moment to sit on the verandah and sip a coffee as Wat after Wat of monk teachers and novices fulfill a millennial tradition of humility and connection to a spiritual space. Everywhere in this country you will find all those characteristics of this guesthouse; often at more reasonable...

My wife and I stayed one night at Ammata Guesthouse and really liked it. (+) clean room and bathroom, great location (very central and close to river for watching sunset, also you can see the monks in the morning from the upper floor) (-) rooms a bit small

Big ups for Ammata Guest House. Very convenient location - close to city attractions and one block from the Mekong. Clean and safe. Adequate breakfast. We were well looked after by Dick and Tom who attended to our every need. Highly recommended.

This was our third trip to Luang Prabang and we had a small budget, under $50USD per night for a 5 week trip. We had spied Ammata Guest House on previous trips as we enjoyed a few meals at the local cafe just across the road. Lovely Laos style timbered home with a lovely garden which always looked cool and...

This is a really nice place to stay. It's clean and comfortable . Its centrally located and the staff are friendly. It's a short walk to all the sites. Well worth the stop. No breakfast available but they do have free wifi.

Great Location with wonderful staff. Rooms upstairs are super, There were 9 of us and we really loved it. we were up early in the morning to photograph the monks and only had to go in front. Don't buy packets of chips from the local shops just one bag of rice if all you need.

This was probably the best choice of all the hotels and guesthouses we booked on our SE Asia vacation. We stayed at the main guesthouse (there is an annex kitty-corner that we did not visit), but our accommodations were superb. It is close to everything you'll want to see (two blocks from BOTH rivers, five minutes' walk to the night...

We were there during Chinese New Year so there are quite full booking for all hotel in Luang Prabang. But lucky we got this hotel for 2 nights and really happy to stay there during our stay. Hotel is clean, very good location just less than 10 mins walk to street night market, temples and Mae-Kong river. There was a...

Not Posh...not fancy, but a good honest budget priced guesthouse in a great location. On one corner is Ammata 1 guest house. A little more basic and cheaper. Diagonally opposite is Ammata 2. It has a foyer with tea & coffee making facilities. That's where the posh bit ends! The young night manager, Mr Tik is so helpful and will...
