Upon first glance this place didn't seem too bad, but many problems became apparent during our stay. This was the first place we stayed in Mandalay, and we stayed in a 2nd floor room for 26 USD per night. Firstly to get there you have to climb a really steep staircase. The room itself was of low standard, aircon worked....

This place looks like a prison, it's dirty, creepy and the personel is really not helpful at all. We've stayed in many guest houses in Myanmar where people use to be very nice, helpful and warming, but we were really disapointed for our last night we unfortunately choose this place which was the opposite of what we could have seen...

The room had a fair bit of dust and seemed a bit unclean but the shower was ok and had hot water. We had working air con and the location of this place is good. When travelling by bus in Myanmar, you tend to arrive at strange times of the day (about 4am I think). The staff allowed us to...

I slept in many places in my life and for sure this is one creepy and dirty place. It lookes like a dungeon, very unwelcoming. I stayed here one night and ran for my life. The room is so dirty and the walls covered with mold. There's a pipeline inside the room so everytime someone from upstirat takes a shawor...

I have to agree with most of the reviews below, this was one of the scariest places I stayed throughout my trips in Myanmar. It is not very clean, cell-like and simply not great. Yet, I give it 3 stars for the following reasons: First, I arrived in Mandalay at 3am, the arrival time for most travelers in Myanmar (where...

This is not a nice place to stay. The room felt like a dirty cell. I've stayed in many cheap places, but this place just didn't feel right. Yes, it's cheap, but there are other just as cheap places that are nicer (e.g., royal queen guesthouse). I didn't even bother trying the shower, I left as soon as I woke...

I stayed 2 nights in Room 314 and got bitten all over from bedbugs. I payed 20$ for a Single Room. Hot shower was working. They have Free Wifi. Breakfast (toast, eggs, fruits, tea, coffee) is served on the rooftop which is nice to sit and has a great view. Service was also not the best. They charged me for...

I was staying there in January for three nights. We booked room in advance choosing it from LP travel guide. We knew that we need to expect shabby conditions, but we were shocked what we found there. Room costed 20$ per night. It was cheaper option with shared bathroom. We arrived very early in the morning. The guy who lead...

It should be illegal to charge $22 for the worst room you've ever seen in your life. We pre-booked one on the first floor (the dreaded first floor), which don't have private bathrooms. We took a train from Bagan to Mandalay and needed to use a bathroom the whole time (the ones on the train were unspeakable). Of course, we...

“Have pristine USD ready to pay in advance. Pay one night at a time in case you want to move, they werent too busy when i was there due to the LP write up. DO NOT pick a room on the first floor. Stay on the second floor for best value, and enjoy the breakfast on the roof before setting out on a tour of Mandalay”
