Like its sister hotel in Yangon, this Sedona is impressive and very comfortable. I adored the great big heated pool which was delightful to swim in after dark, out of the searing sun, and with attentive staff offering towels. I stayed here on a trip from Dublin with Travel Department. Breakfast was splendid as my pictures show, tons of choice...

We stayed in the Sedona for two nights as part of our overall visit to Myanmar. Now bear in mind that we had just survived a rather interesting train journey from Bagan to Mandalay, more of which you can read about if you are interested in my blog 'My Road to Mandalay' at travelwithgar.com But even allowing for that and...

As a single, white, female traveller I was struggling in Burma but I felt safe here. The puppet show isn't amazing but it is a pleasant distraction. The lobby has the best Internet connection but it really needs lots more comfortable seating areas. I was staying b&b and breakfast was not great. I found the poolside food service very expensive....

My first stay at this hotel on my first visit to Mandalay. The service was superb and i was welcomed warmly by what would seem like everyone who worked there. The room was large and comfortable with a nice shower. Wifi was there but didn't work that well however that is to be expected in Mandalay so don't count on...

Very professional staff, especially the concierge services (for example, they arranged us tickets in advance for the boat trip to Bagan). Small fitness, frisky pool at that time of the year. Decent breakfast. We had a Superior room on the 4th floor with garden view (quiet). Front rooms have a view on the royal fortifications & Mandalay hill. Maybe avoid...

I think I was quite lucky when I stayed, and was given a room with a beautiful view across the moat to the mountain in the distance, and the palace nearby. I enjoyed this hotel very much, in particular, strangely, my dinners each night. During my first evening, I had to ask to move inside because the mosquitoes were totally...

Large spacious reception area with welcoming reception, good sized bedroom with spectacular view down the canal straight to Mandalay Hill, comfortable beds.. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed for the three days we were there being cleaned but they offered to take us to another hotel to swim but this would have taken too much time. Good buffet and impressive...

Although still one of the better options in Mandalay, I would not rate this property five stars. Whilst the staff is willing, the management seems to be lacking: Get used to mosquito-infested elevators and to the bar (In fact ALL the outlets of the hotel - even the executive lounge!) running out of Tonic Water, Soda Water and Bitter Lemon...
