Pros: Tasty breakfast (get the noodle salad,) free bicycle use, friendly staff. View from the restaurant. Adequate internet. Cons: things in the room feasted on me! mainly mosquitoes, but also another small bug I fear was a flea, living in the bed. also a dank smell in the bathroom that only somewhat dissipated when they sprayed air freshener. This hotel...

Nice hotel, located somewhat outside of the city center at a busy road, but it is relatively quiet at night. Excellent breakfast. Nice beer-garden in the neighborhood. Good internet, which is not everywhere the case. A few small bugs in the room

I lived 11 days in this hotel. Staff are not warmly and difficult to say Mingalarpar in sweet face. Staff of the sky view restaurant & bars are the worst. They always looked the customer in doubt. Most of them especially female staff are discriminated between local and foreigner; and also discriminated male and female. They speak with smile and...

Stayed here in May 2015 in a family room. Room was small but clean. Air-conditioning worked well. Breakfast was a buffet, with a wide range of options (including semolina and coconut puddings - highly recommended). Staff were very helpful (even going out to a nearby shop to source ice creams when the kitchen was out of stock). The only negative...

This place is in a dark alley, where the rubbish on the street prevented the taxi getting to the front door. Then you had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the reception. These stairs were so steep, that if you tripped, you would not possibly survive the fall. I was so disappointed with the place, I fled...

I was in HQM as the locals call it October 2015. The hotel is cheap, old and rooms with various levels of renovations done, all rooms are very basic. Some of the rooms are bigger some smaller. Noisy but powerful Chinese air con units in all rooms as standard. Windows in the rooms of the typical thin two part type...

We spent three nights on our trip to Mandalay in March this year (2015). The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were super friendly. On one occasion when my husband was looking for a particular bakery the staff member whom he had asked directions from ,walked him to it. The breakfasts were the best we had in Myanmar. Both...

Staff are very efficient & helpful. Best settle your bill in cash to avoid the 5% surcharge on credit cards. They have a travel agent in the lobby convenient for money exchange! Easy to...

Given the price of accommodation in Mandalay in general, we were happy with Hotel Queen, it is not a top end choice, nor is the tariff. The Queen rooms are a reasonable size and the somewhat dated bathroom was clean. Admittedly the breakfast buffet was more geared toward Asian choices, but toast, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit and the...
