This is a hotel from the communist era in Plovdiv. It seems to be undergoing renovations. The rooms are very large but sparsely furnished. The beds were a little hard but it was quite adequate for a one night stay. In time if renovations continue it could be a fairly nice hotel to stay in.

This hotel was selected for us by Ama Waterways, the Danube river cruise company. The location is about equa-distant between Istanbul, where we began, and Rousse, Bulgaria, where we boarded the river-boat. So, our bus took us here. Plovdiv is a quaint town, albeit in the middle of nowhere, but nice to see. Yet the hotel, oh, dear, Ama waterways...

I needed a hotel fast when thunderstorms were arriving after a very hot day. This hotel had a fairly expensive offering. Hotel is OK, spacious, clean. Breakfast is OK (for the price). Wifi and parking available. Staff + service are below-average. communication can be better. Focus seems to be on groups that visit the casino. Security staff not very friendly...

This is an old building with beautiful wide stairs and hallways. I saw an outdoor pool but in April, it was just too cool to try it. The first night my room was facing the main drag next to the hotel and the sound of the traffic interfered with my sleep. The next night I was in a room facing...

This hotel, with an attached Casino, is in an excellent central location. We had a large room with a good shower and bath. The bed was comfortable. It seemed that it had had some hard economic times as it just didn't quite reach the "promise" of its attractive exterior. However I am sure that, now it is a Ramada, it...

An alternative for work stays. Ideally located for access to main city centre. Big old building with massive rooms. A bit old but plenty of style. Massive outdoor and indoor swimming pools - must remember my gear next time.

When you go into the hotel it speaks of past communism, with a large entrance. When you get to the room, the disappointment is confirmed. The rooms are small, less than basic and in dire need of some serious refurbishment. There are serious issues with the WiFi, as it does not work most of the time. Breakfast is also very...

Well this place is defiantly not the nicest place to stay in Plovdiv. The location of the hotel is excellent for the main shopping street and the old town. The lobby area and restaurant was very dark, it wouldn't hurt to turn on a light or two. Very uninviting. The rooms where very large with high ceilings but it was...

The hotel and pool looked fabulous and that was it. The room although large was hot, air conditioning very poor. The room lacked basic essentials, no tea or coffee facilities, no face washers, no tissues, no iron, no safe. It was a 2 star inside. Had to pay for water. The little town very interesting a worth a visit, but...
