Service present all the time with complete information for things to see and do. Room was spacious with lockers *own padlock. Extremely comfortable bed! Located close to bus station and walking distance ^ buses into old town. Clean bed linen, towel, and bathrooms. Lovely outside spaces with roof terrace and back garden with splash pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice...

I would highly recommend this hostel for young travellers, along with the lazy monkey hostel down the road (same owners). All the staff were lovely and really helpful and they truly give the best advice on what to do and see in zadar. We had only planned on staying with them one night but booked 2 extra nights we loved...

Somewhere I read this is the best hostel in Croatia. If so: Poor Croatia. But to start with the good: Staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Everything is clean. Bathrooms are good and spacious. Now for the rest: These were the cheapest and most uncomfortable mattresses I have slept on for a long time. And dear owners, it's 2016....

The wifi was great everywhere and the beds were nice. Everything was clean, and the bathrooms were very modern. The kitchen is fine, but very small. The bar downstairs and the splash pool are a fab place to hang out and the hostel is located right next to 2 beaches. It's 25 mins from town but it's a lovely walk...

We booked 5 nights at the sister hostel, The Lazy Monkey ... We stayed there for 2 weeks! What more do I need to say, this is literally the best hostel chain I've ever stayed in! And most nights we would rock on down to the drunken monkey for drinks in the best bar in Zadar! Being able to use...

I stayed here for 10 nights (on and off) even when I wasn't staying in the hostel the staff were very welcoming and allowed us to use the bar and garden facilities with our friends staying within the hostel. Great feeling of a 'family' and all the staff are wonderful! If you want a place that's going to get you...

We stayed in the double room at The Drunken Monkey and it was a nice room with comfortable bed and the A/C worked which was great for the climate/ time of year. Overall the staff were helpful and I'd recommend the Hostel to travelers. Be aware that the walk to the Old city gates is around 30 minutes and then...

I actually think this place is "good" and would be a 3.5/5 if Trip Advisor would let me select that as an option. The staff was excellent. The receptionist was very friendly, patient, and kind. She gave us great suggestions for food and sights and the map provided was very helpful. We also really appreciated the shuttle to the old...

Staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived at the hostel, I don't think my experience of Zadar would have been as memorable without their recommendations. Cliff jumping at Tequila Sunrise is a must! Bedrooms and bathrooms were really clean, wifi worked well, great atmosphere. Wish I could've stayed longer!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are the only established hostel in Zadar owned and run by fellow travelers. Set in a charming part of town only 15 minutes walk along the water front to the old city gates. 'Why should I stay outside the old town? 'Well, quite simply, we offer what the other hostels do not. We have a decked garden complete with sun loungers, splash pool, bar, and a sun terrace. As well as this we have a private courtyard, movie projector and guest computers. We are a clean, comfortable and secure hostel, located in the safe neighborhood of Arbanasi. Ideally situated minutes away from the main bus station, and the scenic Kolovare promenade; nothing Zadar has to offer is out of arm's reach. Note to self to all our globetrotters, avid and novice travelers that like to leave our beloved reviews - We are not in the Old Town! We are able to offer you all the facilities noted above for that very reason. We do have a bar that can get a little exciting and noisy at times, however, this is well regulated by us. We are definitely a hostel that offers fun and excitement as well as relaxation and calm. Come see for yourselves...... ... more   less
