Villa Ana is a small, family run hotel in an overpriced town. Choose Villa Ana! The hotel is clean, comfortable, but most importantly the proprietor is a terrifically welcoming person. Danijel invited my friend and me to dinner at the equally sweet Villa Diana next door, challenged me to a game of tennis the next morning, then drove us to...

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steves, and it was worth it. It's small and a very short walk down into the heart of old town Split (where I would not want to stay because it's pretty loud, nice to out of the melee). Ask for rooms at the back as they are quieter, but the whole hotel is nice....

7-10 minutes walk to the Riva and old town. Manager Daniel is very nice and helpful. We got lost and he went with my husband to the car and helped him to drive to the hotel and park, let us use parking after we checked out. He gave us excellent advice for the restaurants. Room is very clean and spacious;...

Good location, walking distance to everything in the old town. You don't need a car when staying here in Split. Close to the ferries if you are going on to some islands or Dubrovnik that way. WiFi in room actually works unlike many places. AC a big plus. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and nice. Daniel was very nice,...

We stayed here for 6 nights spread over 3 weeks, as a base for a bicycle tour of the islands. The location is ideal, just 5 minutes by bike to the ferry terminal, 10 minutes walking to the Riva, restaurants, the market and Diocletian Palace. The rooms are large and comfortable. The manager, Danijel, was very helpful, stored our bicycles...

The location was great, easy walking distance from the train station, ferries and Diocletian Palace. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Had a nice, large room, noisy from the neighboring houses, so the windows had to be kept closed. Air conditioning was an issue, we froze the first night. Staff adjusted it the next day. Breakfast just OK. Pricey...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here The rooms were very comfortable & clean. The breakfast was very good & the hotel was just a short walk down to the old town & the water. We got lost when we first arrived & the owner drove down to meet us & escort us to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.,

We stayed at Villa Ana recently (August 2013) and we are satisfied about our choice. The room was big, clean and cozy. Personally for me was very important airconditioning and it was working very good. The stuff was pleasant enought. The only negative thing -breakfast. They have such a nice breakfast room, but the choice of products is really poor....

I love supporting and staying in small, family owned hotels and BNBs around the world but I was surprised to find the incredibly rude and very careless way in which Villa Ana was run. Split is such a lovely city and friends recommended we stay at Hotel Luxe across the street....we should have listened. Instead, we were locked out of...

Room #1 is on the ground floor and is small, dark, and stuffy because windows don't open. Room #2 is the best. large, with balcony, and doors and windows - potentially noisy (we were off season and could close windows and balcony). Room #3 is in the back, is small and dark - at least the windows opened. Walk to...
