This place has a nicely chill vibe. The roof terrace was my favourite reading spot in Antigua! :D The breakfast was also a real scoop - certainly the best one I had in Guatemala! (That's also why it is not the cheapest hostel in Antigua.) The dorm did get scandalously warm in the night, as they hadn't installed any kind...

This place really starts your day off right with a massive, hearty breakfast buffet. So good! The breakfast alone is worth $10 per person. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Fresh Fruit, Pancakes, Potatoes, Beans, Tomatoes and fresh eggs/omelette cooked right before you. They have a nice terrace too!

Location: everything is walking distance Rooms: we stayed for 2 nights/3 days in a triple room with 3 single beds - spacious & clean, no a/c but it had a table fan. Bathrooms: they had 2 with complete with showers and 3 with only toilet - they were always clean. Staff: Sofia were very helpful in everything, gave us the...

Great location - Antigua is a walkable city in general but The Yellow House is ideally situated a few blocks from the Arch and the artisan market. The property is well maintained and the rooms are clean. Staff is helpful and everyone speaks enough english that you can get away with not speaking spanish. The front office doubles as a...

Myself and three others stayed at Yellow House. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are functional (one plugged shower), the breakfast is huge, and the staff is helpful. We highly recommend this cost effective option!

We've stayed at the Yellow House twice in our travels and it has, by far, been the best place we've stayed in Guatemala. The rooms are cute and comfy, the whole hostel is really clean. They seem to be constantly cleaning the shared bathrooms. The breakfast is huge and amazing, love the hot chocolate. The terrace and hammocks are so...

Staying at this hostel was fantastic! I stayed both in a double private room with a friend and in the dorm. Private rooms are lovely and on the second floor with easy access to the beautiful, hammock filled roof deck! Dorm room is a bit loud next to the main street, bring ear plugs. Staff was fantastic and helpful with...

The rooms are clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The badrooms need to be shared, but they are very clean. they are cleaned several times a day. The breakfast is also superb, with eggs, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, fresh fruit, pancakes, bread,... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The terrace on the roof is a nice place to hang, to take...

Yellow House is very convenient for the town, super clean showers and loos, very helpful, efficient staff to arrange trips and a lovely sociable roof terrace with views over the town. Breakfast included, excellent value. We used YH as a base while travelling in Guatemala and were able to leave excess luggage there while we were away.
