It's a hostel and mainly filled with young Israelis, staying in dorm-like rooms (which were once part of a Spanish-language school). I go in their for the Friday evening Shabbat meal and occasional lunch. The food is wonderful and the service is with a smile. The Guatemalan staff is well-treated and the folks who go there are always pleasant. You...

If you're looking for a clean, spacious and yet cheap hostel- that's the place. It's a whole different level than any other hostel I've stayed in. Plus, there's a hot tub on the roof. The restaurant is amazing though quite expensive.

I was walking past this hostel looking for another hotel and the manager asked if he could help me. He looked up my hotel on the internet and explained where I could find it. In the end I couldn't find the other hotel and came back to ZOOLA as I was so impressed that the manager was so helpful. I...

This is one of the few places I've been with this unique style. On the floor eating, very relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for young travelers on a budget. Notice showers are not private. Nice bar upstairs. Food is nice enough with a middle eastern influence.

Great staff and ownership! Beautiful terrace! Love the jacuzzi on the roof with the view of the volcano. The food is delicious and far exceeds the typical hostel standards. Seems like they organize a lot of activities for the guests as well.. Like a weekly communal dinner..weekly soccer match... And at night they have a free shuttle service directly to...

Zoola is a good spot to stop in for a night if you want a comfortable bed, decent bathrooms and to generally be left alone. The guests here are almost exclusively Israeli, and they don't really make any effort to interact with you if you don't speak Hebrew. Although, I have stayed here several times and made friends, provided I...
