So far the most amazing and incredible B&B I have ever been! The tranquility of the place is lovely and the hotel is properly situated so you can have a view of the volcano. Food is great and the staff oh so friendly. Kudos to them!

My husband and I were so impressed with Chez Daniel that we extended our stay from one night to four! We absolutely loved the quietness which is hard to find in Antigua. The patio area outside of our upper floor room was an ideal place to hang out and enjoy the superb view of Volcano Agua. The room was a...

We spent three nights at Chez Daniel and could not have been happier with our accommodations. Daniel and Maria Elena struck the perfect balance of being there in the mornings to answer any questions/concerns without being overbearing. Marleni, the office manager was professional, friendly, spoke excellent English and Spanish, and was a great resource. The breakfasts were simple and excellent...

Just returned from a fabulous two week trip to Antigua, Guatemala which was capped off with the last three nights spent in Chez Daniel-what a gem!! Owner Daniel and his team have built the most incredible B&B in the lovely town of Antigua. The woodworking detail in the rooms is amazing. Every morning started out with an incredible breakfast and...

A friend recommended Chez Daniel as a great bed & breakfast with on-staff Spanish instructors. I stayed for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Daniel, the owner has lived in Antigua for decades and was a wealth of information - everything from restaurant recommendations to local concerts. Marleni, the cheerful and extremely helpful manager, is an excellent Spanish instructor...

I stayed here with my wife and parents during Antigua's busiest week of the year- Semana Santa. Chez Daniel is perfect. My wife and I live in Guatemala and are in Antigua at least once a week. We've seen a lot of the nicer hotels and some of the party hostels, and there's always something missing- either it's cheap and...

I felt really at home at Chez Daniel. The breakfast croissants rivaled those in Paris. The specious, well-equipped kitchen was available to guests at any time. You could have a cup of tea or a home cooked meal. Both Daniel and the staff were accommodating in many ways, arranging shuttle rides and pointing out interesting locations on the map. While...

I've stayed in about a dozen retreat centers, homes, and hotels in Central America (including two others in Antigua), and Chez Daniel's accommodations and hospitality are by far the best I've encountered. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and immaculate. The location--easy walking distance from all the sites but away from the central hubbub--is ideal. Daniel, Maria Elena, and Marleni are...

We enjoyed our 12 days at Chez Daniel in March of 2014. Our room was clean and comfortable, the washroom large and the view of the volcano from our second floor room was lovely. Marleni greeted us upon arrival and made us feel welcome. Daniel and/or Elena made a point of speaking to guests each morning over breakfast. They answered...

We had just finished a Habitat for Humanity build, and were thrilled to walk into our spacious and lovely room with a beautiful bathroom. The fresh squeezed orange juice, hot chocolate, croissants and bread were a great start to the day. We were happy to be a little out of the crush of humanity during Semana Santa--a lovely quiet street...
