This is my first trip to Guatemala and was traveling with my brother and his family. Working with an agent, this location was suggested and we went for it. Let me just say this hotel may be the best I've ever stayed in. Each room is unique and has its own style. My room featured a king bed, enclosed patio...

My wife and I spent 3 days at the El Convento Boutique Hotel in Antigua. It is charming and antique in its look but comfortable and up to date in the essentials (bath, electronics, bed). The restaurant was also excellent. It is well located for touring. The staff was very professional and efficient but very personable and concerned about our...

In general when one drives into Antigua, your mind is to get out as rapidly as possible ! the city is , exempt for the old structures one of the ugliest I have ever visited. HOWEVER, when you enter the hotel and enter behind the ugly walls, one comes into a marvel of a world ! Incidently , practically ALL...

We ended up with 2 nights here after there was a stuff-up at another hotel with a double booking. How lucky for us! This is a lovely hotel - about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre of town - picturesque walk (Antigua is picturesque full-stop!).We had a great room - spacious, well-appointed. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent service:...

El Convento was a great base for our couple of days in Antigua. The hotel is in the NE of the town and walking the sites on the grid of streets is easy. The hotel itself is a good place to relax, the room was a nice size, with a small balcony. Staff were friendly. We had the set American...

We have stayed here before as a couple. We have just come back with 4 children. The hotel is beautifully designed. It takes you into a lovely serene environment. Staff are excellent. A great way to visit Antigua.

This is the second time we stay here, 7 years apart. It is still as beautiful, charming and magical as we remembered it; every room has a working fireplace. This is a relatively small hotel (20+ rooms) on a very quiet side street, within walking distance of all the action (actually, everything in Antigua is!). The service is incredibly friendly...

My wife and I checked in in February this year, the hotel is beautiful, a lot of great details. The place is really charming with a lot of flowers and candles in the public areas. We had dinner, and the food was really really good. I would highly recommend this place.

El Convento was a wonderful place to relax and refresh after trekking all over guate. The bathtubs were big enough to float in. The beds were so comfy. We rented the suite with two levels (had a spiral staircase), and a jacuzzi on a little private terrace. This room was definitely worth the splurge! The restaurant is good, over priced...

We spent several nights here and really liked the location and the ambience, which is that of an older building (the actual convent is across the street), for example the vaulted ceiling in the restaurant having the feel of a refectory. Rooms are comfortable and the restaurant really very good. Location is an easy walk to the city's center. A...
