I recently had the privilege of staying at La Villa Serena B&B in Antigua, Guatemala. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay. It is close to the market and in walking distance to the square. As it is not located on a main road, it is quiet. I have stayed elsewhere in Antigua and the sound of the traffic...

We had the best time in Antigua at Marina's house. She can speak English and Spanish and is a very warm and welcoming person. She'll guide you at your arrival to visit Antigua. The house is 10 min from the center in a nice and very calm residential neighborhood. She decorated the different rooms with great tastes: antiques family furnitures,...

Why do I keep coming back? This was my 4th visit to Antigua. And the 4th at the Villa. What makes each visit fantastic is the accommodations, location, attentiveness and knowledge of the staff. Also the views from the rooftop of the city and the surrounding volcanos.

This is a wonderfully serene B&B located only 10min from Parque Central in Antigua. Its location allows you to get the best of both worlds- solitude with view of volcano to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Antigua and yet close enough to pop back to pick up something or after a long day exploring. Marina...

La Villa Serena is a charming B&B that keeps a genuine Guatemalan flavour. The details in each room are dreamy - from the Guatemalan bath sinks and pillow cases to furniture pieces that are true pieces of art. Breakfast in the little patio surrounded by the house, plants and decorative details is a mix of serenity and entertainment with all...

We had such a wonderful stay at Villa Serena. Marina is an amazing host and we were treated like family. It is beautiful and tranquil and has views of the volcano from the terrace. Mimosa, the resident pup, is a darling and we will miss playing with her! Also the breakfasts were delicious! We plan to return next summer.

The name says it all, an oasis tucked away in a lovely area out of the hustle bustle of downtown Antigua yet only 10 minutes to walk to parque central. Marina and her beautiful little dog Mimosa were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Because we were interested, she even organised her cook Lucretia to show us how...

As many travelers have said before me, La Villa Serena is almost too good to be true. Positioned in a quiet corner of Antigua (quiet, that is, unless it happens to be Semana Santa), the setting is lush and immaculate and everyone who works here is genuine, helpful, and warm. But I must take the opportunity to mention my gracious...

This was my second time staying at La Villa Serena, and I would book there again without hesitation. The atmosphere and setting is breath taking. The view of the volcano from the roof top is surreal. The food was superb and the staff friendly and accomodating.

This bed and breakfast has very nice little rooms with comfy beds situated near to the centre of town but far enough away to be nice and tranquil. The decorations are great and it has a nice little courtyard to sit in. The landlady was very welcoming and a good sized typical Guatemalan breakfast was served every morning (scrambled eggs...
