This Inn was absolutely adorable! The breakfast was a delicious way to start the day exploring Nantucket! And the tea/coffee and yummy cookies in the evening was also a great treat. The innkeeper, Skye, was amazing. She was so friendly, and informative. She even drove my friend and I to a restaurant she recommended, that was above and beyond service!!!

The comfort here is more about the "feel" than any particular creature comfort. That said, the creature comforts are taken care of--the place is spotless, the breakfast is homemade right down to the granola and pastries. And yes, the coffee is the best on the island. I'd say our innkeeper, Skye, was the primary reason for the comfortable feel. She...

The house is charming! Love my room tucked in the eves on the 3rd floor. Very clean, even with a shared bath. The best part is the manager, Skye. What a doll! Super yummy baked goods at breakfast. She is very friendly, helpful and attentive to guests' needs. I will not hesitate to book here every time I visit!

The Martin House Inn is a great home base to explore Nantucket. The rooms are spacious and comfortable as well as decorated impeccably. Martine House is walkable from the ferry and downtown Nantucket. Skye is a great host and lots of fun! We will be back! Highly recommended.

The inn was a wonderful quaint experience. I felt as if I was at home. The Innkeeper was wonderful, knowledgeable about where to go and what to do. She was great, and the cookies were the best!

We stayed at the Martin House while performing at a wonderful family music event in Nantucket. We can't speak highly enough of what a great experience it was. The rooms are charming-the widow's walk is amazing and the service is top notch. Skye is a joy to be with and an attentive and gracious host. We will definitely go back!!!

Rooms are great, invokes the real nostalgia of Nantucket with the decor and the service (I should know, have 40 plus years of nantucket experience). Location is close to town. Coffee is great. TERRY S.

Earlier in the year we were planning a wedding on Nantucket and decided on having all of our guests stay at The Martin House. Fortunately for us, this was one of the best choices we made in planning our wedding. Having filled nearly all the rooms in the inn with our guests it was just an amazing place to stay....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our spacious accommodations blend the convenience and comforts of today with the romance and nostalgia of the past. Built in 1803 by a sea captain for his bride and recently restored to a gracious old-world elegance, the inn combines the charm and romance of a bygone era with all the comforts of home. With its many comfortable gathering areas, its fireplaces, the luxury of its rooms, its peaceful veranda caressed by light breezes and the sound of classical music, and of course its spacious roof walk offering panoramic views of the town and the harbor, the Martin House is a place that beckons you to return. We serve a bountiful continental breakfast prepared by our pastry chef, featuring her famous homemade granola and scones, another pastry, cereals, fruit, juices, gourmet coffee and tea, each morning. In the afternoon, we serve homemade treats. In the heart of Nantucket’s historic district, the inn is just a short walk from all the shops, beaches and restaurants in town. 13 rooms, air conditioning, free wireless internet; many guest rooms with working fireplaces. ... more   less
