We had a wonderful, relaxing time on Nantucket at the Carlisle House. It's a gem! Our hostess, Heather, is always readily available to answer questions about the island and offer suggestions about its charms. My husband and I recommend it highly!

We had a wonderful stay at the Carlisle House Inn. The room was beautiful and comfortable with a tester bed and fireplace. The Inn is on a quiet street, yet very close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, popovers, quick breads, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Our stay was the weekend after the Nantucket stroll and many of...

This was our first stay at The Carlisle House Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean, comfortable, cozy and quaint. The inn keeper Heather was extremely nice and very accommodating. We enjoyed our room and the property. It was an easy walk from the ferry landing yet it was far enough away from the madness of Main St...

I stayed at the Carlisle House the weekend of December 7-8th. The accommodations at the Carlisle House were outstanding. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Heather was very nice and I really felt welcome. I would recommend the Carlisle House and will definitely be back next year.

If you want charm, a great location, and a wonderful host, then the Carlisle House is for you. The Inn is almost 250 years old. We had an enjoyable and restful long weekend in early November. We stayed on the 1st floor (Brant Point Room), which has it's own bathroom, and a working fireplace. The breakfasts were more than you...

This BB is very well located, with clean and cozy rooms. Although bathrooms are small and the stairs are narrow, the place is great. I spent 5 nights there and wanted to stay longer. The manager is a very nice and flexible. The breakfast area is a little nice closed deck overseeing the garden. I will definitely will go back.

We've been to Nantucket many times, but this was our first stay here. It is a pretty old sea captain's house, so old with lots of character and interesting if you like historical buildings. We arrived early, and as with most inns on the island, just stored our luggage in the reception room until we could check in. Heather, the...

The Carlisle House was the perfect choice for our honeymoon week on Nantucket this July. It's quiet, clean, cozy, and great proximity to town. Heather, the owner, makes fresh pastries daily for breakfast. She was kind enough to pass along the recipe for my favorite; the blueberry coffee cake. There's a great sitting area in the backyard with complementary wine...

My college friend and I have been coming to Nantucket for many years and have stayed in several B&Bs but once we found the Carlisle Inn we've never looked elsewhere. Love the proximity to town, beaches, and the bike path out of town. Heather, the Innkeeper, is a wealth of knowledge and the rooms are very comfortable. ANd there are...

As others have said, the location of this place is great, just a few minutes' walk from the ferry port and the centre of town, but down a side street so it's not too noisy. The house is nicely decorated and has that old-world-charm feel to it. That does mean that if you're looking for a 5* luxury hotel as...
