I would be remiss if I didn't send a note to say THANK YOU for the hospitality I received while staying at the Homewood Suites Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA. This was my longest work trip since before the Pandemic and although it was all work and no play the Assistant Hotel and Guest Services Manager, Luis, and ALL of the front desk agents; Angel and Brandon in engineering; housekeeping; and the kitchen staff were SO pleasant and accommodating to make me feel at home I had to send a note expressing my appreciation. The cleanliness of the property, hallway greetings and smiles from staff, etc., confirmed I made the right choice in choosing the Homewood Suites Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA for this extended work stay. Having been a former employee of the Hilton chain while in college, it is Awesome to see the Excellence of the Hilton brand I loved working for continues to live up to the quality of the Hilton standards. Again, thank you and I look forward to visiting this location again for vacation.…
All hotels in the area were booked or charging >$350 for a room. My family of 4 just needed a place to sleep for the night. I was happy to discover online that this Homewood Suites still had a room available with two queens and a sofabed at a more reasonable price. When I arrived, Jay, the manager on duty, let me know that the room was not actually available due to an internal systems error. He indicated that he had a room with one queen and a sofabed and he would adjust the price accordingly. I indicated that the sofabed was fine for a child, but we adults wouldn't be able to get a good night's rest (regardless of how comfortable - my son claims Homewood Suites sofabeds are no different than regular beds). Because I have a teen boy and a teen girl, I needed at least two queens (girls in one, boys in the other) if a room with a third bed wasn't available. He was able to give me two rooms right next to each other, each with a queen bed and a sofabed. We couldn't have been happier or more comfortable. He made the transition with ease and grace and treated me as if I were an honored guest, instead of an inconvenience. Thank you, Jay!…
We travel to the Boston/Cambridge a few times a year and we decided to try Homewood Suites as a change of pace to the Double Tree. Our room had a terrible musty smell, the bathroom was dirty and the dishwasher was broken with dried detergent stuck to all the dishes making them useless. Lastly, the parking spots are very small and many visitors took up two spaces. If we found parking the walk up the ramp to the elevator foyer had a pipe leaking above it and I slipped on the wet flooring. We will not be staying here again for future trips.
We stayed one night. Almost $300/night. Free parking which is great. Check in people were very good. Location is convenient for Tufts. Room was very worn and didn't look clean. Stained couch. Stained furniture. Water dripping in the walkway to the garage making it slippery.
The staff was very helpful - desk, kitchen, housekeepers, etc. The rooms are a good size and the kitchen with dishes and a dish washer was great. The free breakfast was very good. The breakfast room is large and there is a large balcony dining area. There was nearby construction, but it was only during the day and not very noisy. My only suggestion is to clean the carpet that is near the kitchen floor in the room. I highly recommend.
I stayed in an amazing room with a friend of mine and enjoyed every second of it. The bed was amazing and had no complaints about the pull out couch. The WiFi worked well and he really enjoyed the breakfast.
Best staff. Provide you with whatever you need. Made you feel you are home. Coming from Pennsylvania driving, they make sure you check in fast and guide you through the city. Thank you all for the best service.
We were diverted in our travels after some airline changes and had to find a place to stay quickly but wanted to be close enough to Cambridge to take in some of the local culture since we were delayed a day. The staff was so kind and helpful in assisting us at the last minute. A nice walk to the Alewife station through a pretty woodland area. We were so thankful for the kindness of every staff member we encountered there!
This hotel was perfect for us. It was near a Train station that could get you anywhere you wanted to go in Boston. The hotel was located right beside a really good restaurant and a CVS which came in very handy. The staff were all very helpful and kind. They went out of their way to help with suggestions and anything we needed. The breakfast was good with a lot of options. The beds were very comfy. We would stay here again.
I checked in to this hotel as a travel nurse from Louisiana Feb 14. My rate was 109.50 a night . Stay confirmed by reservation until July 16. June 24 my card was charged $8000 the rate had gone up from 109.50 to 255 a night . No one called or text me to tell me of the rate change it was just charged to my card . Be very careful.
