Place was quiet and away from any highway noise which works great for my overnight shifts. Breakfast had plenty of options so I didn't feel the need to go out to eat and waste money. Will be back on my next business trip!

The hotel is in a cute office park area. Landscaping is lovely. My kids were so happy with the pool and basketball courts. It is hard to keep two kids constantly entertained! The desk was busy - phone ringing but the girl who was working could not have been nicer!

Residence by Marriott Boston Andover is a three level hotel conveniently located off of Interstate 93 in Minuteman Park. Hotel property is located near the terminus of Minuteman Park with access to nearby walking trails. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Of note, the corridor carpets were a bit worn and a few of the corridor walls were scuffed and marked at the time of my stay. Cigarette butts were strewn about the area carpet near the exits. Pot and hemp odor were prevalent and persistent throughout the first floor corridor near the exits at the time of my stay. Guest suites were somewhat clean save the thin layer of dust on top of the refrigerator. Guest suite walls were scuffed and marked. Guest suite furniture and amenities were dated and worn. At the time of my stay, guest room suite curtain rod fell off the bracket and was reported but not repaired during my visit. Kitchen available in guest suites and amenities were also worn. Dishwasher detergent cap was missing and reported but not repaired at the time of my visit. Please be advised, guest suites are NOT connected to hotel main lobby and fitness center. Outdoor pool available seasonally. Fitness center was clean, modern, and functional but a bit small compared to other Residence Inn site locations (i.e. Bronx, NY, Marlborough, MA). Breakfast buffet selection was limited and of average quality, however there was comparatively less food variety and selection compared to other Residence Inn site locations (i.e. Bronx, NY, Marlborough, MA). Traffic noise was minimal but Minuteman Park is shared with several commercial and office sites with traffic congestion weekday mornings and evenings. Several chain restaurants, fast food establishments, diners, and retail stores are located within driving distance of hotel but not within walking distance. Overall tolerable experience but I will likely select a different hotel when conducting business in the Andover region.

As a Titanium level member I’m critical of hotels that do everything to get you in the door and do nothing to get you to return. Fortunately this hotel doesn’t fit itself in this category. The Residence Inn Andover Massachusetts is a hotel i’ve stayed at solo and with my family going back 12 years. This hotel’s Manager brings her A game daily. Vanessa is highly motivated and dedicated to her overnight guest and the property. My suite is spotless, the housekeeping is outstanding and i can recommend this hotel to business travelers and families who seek a safe secure and welcoming environment. From the front desk staff to housekeeping. Well done. To the managers especially Vanessa. Thank you. Can’t wait to return to this hotel at Christmas time. Be well

In the past my husband has stayed often in this hotel - he works with Philips that has had a campus ‘next door’. Philips is no longer a neighbour and nowadays we mostly stay at the Sonesta hotel nearby that has been nicely redecorated. This time we thought, lets try the Residence Inn again. The nice lady at the reception gave us room 123 on the first floor. The suite was overall OK, nice bed, nice small bathroom. BUT: The carpeting was dirty, the hood completely broken, the kitchen outdated, the coutch worn out, there was not enough light in the living room (no lamp in the sitting area) and there was no cutlery tray in the dishwasher. They also forgot to inform us that we have to ask them before 10am to clean the room, so we had no clean towels the second day of our stay - I mostly make our bed myself. I went to the receptionist with my complaints and she told me that a renovation was coming up next spring. She promised to bring clean towels and someone really did - after another phonecall from me about it (…). Next day there was a cutlery tray in the dishwasher and the room was done. The breakfast was OK except for the fact that there was no bread nor toast. We had kind of a view on the swimmingpool, but the weather was not nice enough for a swim. So overall, the hotel/room/service was acceptable but not great.

Dear 998Ediths, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. You will be happy to know that we have fully replaced the carpet in the suite you had stayed in. That is but one step in the journey to update the hotel. It is good to hear that our housekeeping staff were able to fully service your room in a timely manner. Thank you again for your feedback.

Firstly, the hotel needs updating badly. Our 2:00 check-in was honored but we were put in a first-floor room in an area of the hotel where pets were allowed. I love dogs as much as the next person but I don't necessarily want to be staying right next door to one. Any hotel I've stayed in the past always had pet rooms separate from other guest rooms so this was surprising to me. I didn't have a pet so I'm not understanding why I was put in that section of the hotel. The dog potty area was right outside our window and there wasn't any privacy at all. One guy had his dog literally right outside our window and was looking in. Unacceptable! In addition to that, the room was so musty that I had to go out and get room spray. As the day progressed the room got more humid even with the a/c on. Early morning we would hear dripping coming from the a/c unit area and the room had gotten so bad that we checked out in the afternoon the day before because there was no way I wanted to spend another night in that room as it was becoming harder for me to breathe. I would have requested another room but the situation had gotten so bad by the third day that for me, it wasn't worth packing up and moving again. I have a mold allergy and I just wanted to get out of there. I don't find myself staying there again.

Very quaint place. All the people were very friendly. William went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I saw him do the same for several other guests. He gets 12/10 stars! Breakfast was better than most. Hot and real food. Not the standard complementary packaged foods. The rooms and grounds are very well maintained. I travel more than 50% for work so I've seen a lot of diminished standards in recent years. Joram also gets kudos for his very friendly and professional demeanor

We stayed here for a few days before moving from MA to SC last year, and we are staying here now for a 3-week visit back in MA. We stayed here again because we really liked it when we stayed here last year, and because the place is pet-friendly. The room is decent and the breakfast is good. The front desk staff and the general manager are fabulous- very polite and helpful. The location is great - set back in a nice wooded office park that is very convenient to both routes 93 and 495. Nice pool, barbecue area, basketball court, and walking trail. I'm not sure if it's the shampoo, the conditioner, or the hair dryer, but my hair has looked fabulous since we've been here, and I'm going to buy the same shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer when I get home. (When's the last time you loved a hotel hair dryer?!). If you plan to stay here for a while and do your laundry here (there's a laundry room), ask for a room that's near the laundry room; otherwise, it could be a very long shlep with all your laundry and laundry supplies.

I just checked out of the WORST Marriott experience I have had in 30 years of consistent stays with Marriott hotels. We checked in late Thursday night after a 6 hour drive, we checked in. Got to the room - there were only a handful of towels and zero washcloths. The sheets on the beds were stained and had black hairs on them. We had to cover the stained sheets with towels that we had to go to the front desk for. The next morning, housekeeping came early around 9 and my husband told her to come back in about 2 hours. She said sure, no problem. We get back to the hotel late, around 11 pm and discover that housekeeping did not come back. The tiny garage cans were overflowing, there were no clean towels, and the sheets were still stained. I call the front desk and was told that housekeeping was closed but that they would send up towels and sheets. They arrived and I had to change the filthy sheets myself and gather the dirty sheets and towels up. The next morning, we left early and while out and about we called the hotel to make sure that someone would finally clean the room. A man answered the phone and testily told us that if we wanted the room cleaned, we had to request that. I have never heard of such nonsense in my life and the last Marriot we stayed in (early May 2022) had no such policy. My husband advised that we had requested it (when he spoke with the housecleaner) and the employee's reply was, "well, our cleaners don't speak English." What kind of response is that? Then as my husband was complaining, the employee hung up on him. My husband called back, same guy answered the phone and cut my husband off - telling him he was going to transfer him to his supervisor. The supervisor was equally unhelpful and testy, and scolded us that we should've known better because when "you checked in you signed a paper advising you about cleanings." Well, actually, we didn't know because we never signed ANYTHING when we checked in. I only gave my DL and credit card for incidentals. The remainder of the stay was the same - no housekeeping, no towels, ZERO washcloths, molded bathroom fixtures with a non-existent exhaust fan, musty carpeting, and zero concern for guest experience. One morning when existing the hotel, I waited a few minutes for the desk attendant to look up and help me because he was watching videos on his phone while stuffing his face the guest's buffet breakfast items. $200 a night to have the worst experience. Also - the entire pool area is closed for unknown reasons even though it was 90 degrees. And although the hotel is "smoke free," the smell of pot was super strong in the hallways. Marriott's quality is not what it used to be - very disappointed.

Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for falling short of your expectations. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any misunderstandings that may have occurred during your stay. Marriott has changed our housekeeping policies. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days per this new standard. Our hotel has added the choice to request service 24 hours in advance as we understand some guests are in need of services more often than the every 3 day standard. Requesting service 24 hours in advance ensures the hotel the proper time needed to schedule our staff appropriately for the day. This change occurred recently and has created some confusion for regular travelers just returning since the pandemic. This change should have been explained at check in and I apologize if this was not done. Our standard is service with a smile, compassion and understanding. Assisting our guests and taking the extra step to make your stay enjoyable is one of the many reasons people choose to work in hospitality. Please know I have shared your feedback with the our leadership team to use a training and coaching tool, so we can do our best to ensure this does not occur again. We hope to see you again. Feel free to let me know if there is anything we can do to make your next stay a memorable one

I stayed at this Residence Inn for two nights as part of a business trip to the area. The check-in was delightful as I was greeted by the lovely Princess from behind the desk. I love dogs, and of course, like all Residence Inns, the property is also dog friendly. Of course I remember Princess' name, but I forget the name of the very nice woman who checked me in. She was able to accommodate my early check-in request which was much appreciated. She also went over the hotel amenities and policies, including their zero tolerance for loud noises (e.g. partying) at night. I was given a ground floor studio suite. The kitchen had definitely been refurbished recently and had all the full size appliances that are expected at a Residence Inn. The desk area could have used a few more outlets, but there were two outlets on the nightstand which was helpful. The bathroom had a shower/tub combo. I liked the little shelf in the sink area for my smaller beauty supplies. The room was very clean. I have three suggestions related to the room. One is that my room was missing a luggage rack. Secondly, the teeny tiny miniscule slivers of soap that were provided were entirely inadequate for a one night stay, let alone a two night stay. I know I could have asked for more soap, but I was working long hours and just didn't have time. Finally, daily housekeeping was not even available if I wanted it. Most of the hotels I've traveled to over the past two years will at least offer daily housekeeping if you request it. The housekeeping wasn't a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have that option. For me, the absolute best part of the hotel was the huge fitness center located in the Gatehouse. There were 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and 1 bike. All were quality Life Fitness equipment. The elliptical and bike I used all worked very well. There was also a universal weight machine, along with free weights, fitness balls, mats, and benches. Plenty of water, cups, towels, and sanitizer were available. This was by far the nicest fitness room I've seen in any Residence Inn. The hotel is a little isolated back in the business park. But for dinner, Adiamo is less than a mile away and it was so good I ate there twice. There is plenty of free parking around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast in the Gatehouse seemed to be a little pared down. But all of the food I ate was fresh and tasty. The bagel and egg sandwich was good, along with the little muffin frittatas. They also had waffles available as a hot item. In addition, there were cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and bananas. The gentleman at check-out was very nice and kind. It was a pleasure talking with him for a few minutes. All in all, this is my new favorite hotel for the North Shore area of Boston. I would definitely stay here again and will probably do so since we are opening an Andover office.
