My husband and I spent a night in the Persian room while we were in town for a wedding. It was the most delightful stay! The room was absolutely beautiful and everything was hand stenciled. We are vegans and they prepared the most wonderful breakfast for us! We hope to visit again very soon.

Where to begin with this majestic, Victorian beauty located steps from the bustle of a sweet New England college town with shops, restaurants and upscale drinking establishments. The Inn is wonderfully maintained with era correct décor and an onsite staff member totally dedicated to the comfort of the guests. The rooms are cozy with fine linens and furnishings and gas...

We stayed here during off-season, so it was very quiet. The rooms are beautiful and quaint. Just a couple of blocks from the very center of town. The service was superior. The only downside was that some of the breakfast items were expired - which apparently happens more often when they're not busy. Quite enjoyed our stay.

We just returned from our trip to Amherst and we stayed four nights at the Amherst Inn. We had the Napoleon Room. This place is absolutely awesome! Our room was beautiful and the whole place is beautiful. Ann and Pam couldn't have been any more accommodating and lovely. They always seemed to be around to ask how we were doing...

We were travelling with a lot of luggage so wanted to stay on the ground floor, but the stairs up to the ground floor from the lower parking area tested our balance! The house has that historic feel -- like staying in an antique store -- but the modernized bath and kitchen area shows a real sense of investment into...

My wife and I stayed at the Amherst Inn for a single night during our cross country road trip. Our unique room was spacious, comfy and clean, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. Also, the Inn is situated just a short walk away from the town, and is directly across the street from the home of Emily Dickinson...

Just spent one night there for parent's weekend at UMass. The Inn is a few blocks down the street from Amherst center. On a nice day it is an easy walk to all the area restaurants. The Inn was clean and cozy. The room was spacious with a private bath and the mattress was very comfortable. They offer breakfast in...

The home has been beautifully renovated to recreate its original appearance. It is a short walk from downtown Amherst and across the street from Emily Dickinson's home, which has now been made into a museum devoted to her and her work. The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean. In the morning, there is a wonderful breakfast.

Husband and wife owners are extremely accommodating. My plane was getting in late so I let them know I wouldn't be there until after midnight. It turned out, with various delays, I arrived at 2 am. The husband was there to cheerfully greet me and offer me food in case I was hungry after a very long trip! So thoughtful....

My family stayed to attend a wedding across the street at the Amherst Woman's garden club. Our stay was wonderful. Check in was simple, our room very nice, beds comfortable. Also having central ac and each room with it's own bathroom is a bonus in a historic inn. We were able to walk to the wedding and also into the...
