We had been traveling for 3 days and tired. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Room very clean. Just loved the Lounging chair. I thought the food area was one of the best laid out plans I've seen yet. And lots of food!! Staff in kitchen were really on top of everything. Cleaning tables, making sure food bins were replenished, etc. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!!!!.
This is a good location and very reasonable in price. There was road construction but little could be done about that. The staff was pleasant and there was a hot breakfast each morning. Our room was comfortable and the hotel quiet. We arrived early and they had our room ready. Although we checked in the left upon our return, the hotel looked fully booked. Do book ahead.
Quick summary: very comfortable rooms. Very good housekeeping. Friendly, professional staff. To note: my review is based on what I expect of this tier of hotel, i.e. NOT a five-star, but not the price, either. When I see people complaining that there are plastic utensils at the FREE breakfast in COVID times, I have to shake my head. We stayed here while in town for a wedding. Room 311 has two very comfortable queen beds and very good down-like pillows (maybe they are?) All the usuals I expect of this tier of good-value hotels: coffee/tea maker, iron/board, microwave and fridge, good desk and big workspace, closet with a nice big mirror on it, etc. Good number of places to plug in your devices. Complimentary wifi and HVAC worked well. Our bathroom had a roomy walk-in shower; other rooms have a tub/shower combination (sigh - I love a bathtub after a long day.) Neutrogena toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. LOVED that you could turn on the light without the vent automatically coming on - less headache when you're just putting on makeup. Nice buffet breakfast of hot and cold items, eggs, meat, cereals, fruit, juices, etc. Again, I don't understand why some reviewers complain that they are not getting a breakfast like at the 5-star hotels -- this is a very decent breakfast at this price point. Friendly, helpful, professional staff throughout. Excellent housekeeping. Due diligence on some very minor gripes: There were no washcloths in the bathroom (fine by me - my roommate cousin noticed.) She also asked that the hand sanitizer on our floor be refilled (it was empty) on a Friday; still wasn't filled on Sunday when we checked out. My little gripe is just noticing how some hotels try to cut costs yet still deliver the basics. The chest of drawers in the cabinet is a stack of baskets, i.e. small items will fall through the wires. Again, a minor gripe, but retrieving small items that fall through to the bottom is a bit annoying. The location is good - a short drive from the I-95, good for touring the north-of-Boston area of Newburyport, etc. To sum: we'd be happy to stay here if we are in the area again.…
This hotel was built very recently and is in lovely shape in terms of upkeep, furniture, etc. The staff were all courteous and helpful. It is a typical Hampton Inn, with a free breakfast, including both hot food like oatmeal, waffles and eggs, and fresh fruit, muffins, etc. I overheard one patron complaining that the omelets that day weren't vegetarian, and indicating that she thought the kitchen should make her a different egg dish. So I should point out that my rating takes into consideration that this is a Hampton Inn, not the Four Seasons. One should not expect the kind of attention (or cost) that one would get at a 5 star luxury hotel. 'The rates during our stay were surprisingly high. Apparently many wedding guests were staying that weekend, which resulted in the rates being much higher than one would expect for a Hampton Inn. Also, the hotel does not provide room cleaning service for a 3 day stay unless one requests it 24 hours in advance. Which results in the Catch 22 that one cannot have the room cleaned after one night, because check-in is after 4, and the cleaning service is not offered after 4 the following day. Fortunately the lovely person at reception waived this rule for us. One further point: the rooms do not have safes, so if you have any valuables that require safekeeping, you will have to deal with the reception desk when you want to deposit or retrieve your items.…
Eric Patel, owner, is not a nice person!!!! The staff is amazing! Unfortunately one of his younger staff members was not able to attend to the basic needs of closing the blinds in our room and had a street light beaming in all night, no sleep after changing rooms 3 times. They were all very pleasant minus Eric who is a liar, doesn’t respect HIS hotel policies, is demeaning and rude! If he wants to own this place he should stay home and let the staff handle customer service bc he clearly doesn’t have any clue how to do so!
The location of the hotel is near a main road and the highway. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. Check in through the app was seamless and my room was ready when I arrived. All the staff I encountered was great! I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I am not an employee and I am not getting paid to write the things I am saying. I look at Trip Advisor only under Terrible Reviews, so I hope this will influence those out there like me to stay at this hotel.
We stayed here for a wedding in the locality . Hotel clean , staff friendly . Room pleasant . Breakfast was okay but the spoiler was the plastic cutlery and paper plates and bowls . Not sure why these are being used . I would have enjoyed the breakfast on offer more if there had been proper plates and cutlery .. I felt this really let the hotel down
We stayed here just overnight on our way through. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Good warm breakfast. 5 stars. We did not use the pool or any other amenities here. The hotel is close to the hwy but there is no noise.
Average Room. Exercise area was not the greatest. The balls were out of air, and there were no mats. Breakfast was average, but one day there was no oatmeal. Hotel had only one guest washing machine. Clothes had been left in the washer, which no one came to move. The girl at the front desk was super helpful, which we really appreciated. She was able to contact the person to remove the clothes. Apparently a hotel worker was living at the hotel. This hotel, like everywhere else, needs more help.
The floor were dirty. The bathroom sliding door provided little privacy. Because we were there 2 nights, we did not have aid service (which is fine however, we were charged the same amount as if we had the service) This is the 1st time we’ve experienced this at a HAMPTON INN.
