The Hampton Inn & Suites in Annapolis is by far the friendliest and with the most helpful staff. Our recent stay was very relaxing and we were constantly surprised by the staff, they were always around to provide assistance. After I had entered our room I was holding the room door open waiting for my wife when a staff member stopped to inquire if I was having problems with the door and offered to prop it open for my wife.

Then the next morning when my wife (mobility challenged) went to get her breakfast in the breakfast lounge she dropped a piece of food from the buffet tray and immediately a staff member was there to clean-up, followed by a Hampton Inn staff member deliver her assembled meal to the room for her.

Stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Annapolis for a pleasant experience.

This was a mixed experience: loved being able to select my room online in advance, from a preassigned noisy first-floor location to a king room near the end of the 5th floor hall. So my room was quiet, basically in good condition though the dark gray walls had chips in them where people had stacked bags on the counter (like many newer room designs, there is no real dresser). The bed was certainly not new (a big depression that bears witness to many sleepers) although not a big problem in comfort. The shower worked well, free internet functioned fine, breakfast was quite good (a serious step up from the "Days Inn" level) with fresh oatmeal, eggs and sausage, various breads, fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, and beverages. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. SO I would have given this a "4" rating except for several designed-in room problems. 1) As has been mentioned by others, the room is terribly dark, with several strong lamps you can turn on. But it is not at all pleasant...desperately needs an overall switched light in addition to the desk and bed lamps. 2) The desk is wedged right next to the heater/air conditioner blower. So if you have a few hours of work, you are being blasted in a most uncomfortable way for a long time, assuming the ambient temperature isn't ok if you turn the unit off. 3) The desk chair is really not a task chair. It's pretty but not that functional for real work. 4) The refrigerator also can get a bit noisy. So the dark room, uncomfortable work space, and duet between heater and fridge overnight made for an only so-so overall experience. I wouldn't shun the place, but I wouldn't rush to return.

I recently booked a single overnight at the Hampton Inn, 124 Womack Dr., Annapolis to attend a family event. After walking into the room, I was grateful that I was only staying one night. The room lighting was so inadequate, I had to go directly under a light to read my map or make sure I had chosen the correct colored items to coordinate my clothing. Alternatively, to find the clasp on my jewelry, I had to go into the bathroom, which fortunately had white walls to maximize what little light was provided. Not only were the bedroom walls painted dark grey, the room had CFL bulbs in the few lighting sources provided, creating a dark, dingy other worldly light frequently found in 3rd world countries. Why they did not provide the more energy efficient LED lights is beyond me.

At my request I was placed in a first floor room in which a heavy smoke odor came through the bathroom vent system. I surmised that because of proximity to the first floor side exit, smokers must prefer these rooms , and at least one smoker could not bring themselves to go outside before lighting up

On the plus side, the receptionist could not have been more accommodating in providing a map and directions to my event. In addition the 24 hour coffee was most appreciated. The beds were most comfortable with a great pillow selection. The breakfast included (again in a very poorly lit area adjoining the lobby) was generous, varied and of good quality.

Unfortunately, the lighting was a deal breaker for me.

Stayed this weekend (same weekend as boat show) rooms were way over prices especially for cheap toilet paper and mold in the shower. The sink looked like mold was growing in there as well. But I believe it was just a water stain. Staff was friendly. As much as you charge per room maybe pay for a better cleaner/maintenance staff and definitely and upgrade in that cheap toilet paper. The remote was wrapping in a plastic bag that had crumbs on the inside of it as well? Or maybe your supervisor staff need to do a better job in checking after your housekeepers.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel the night of Valentines day and it was nothing short of beautiful. Let me start off to say the rep that I dealt with on the phone was nothing short of hospital, given they were pretty busy due to the holiday. They were able to accommodate amenities that I was looking for! The room was spacious and has a beautiful modern look to it. The layout of the room was well thought out (my wife is an interior designer) she had nothing but praises from the time we entered our room. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless was well, that was something we were hesitant about seeing that we are still in the middle of the pandemic. We've already decided that we'll be returning for another stay! Staff was more than helpful the following morning when we checked out because someone left their heels in the room (not me Lol). I cant wait to for my next stay here. Thank you for everything Hampton Inn & Suites! Until next time

Stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend and our dog. Service was wonderful we were greeted as soon as we walked into the hotel all our questions were answered. When we walked in the room it was very neat and clean. Very spacious for all three of us to relax comfortably just to get away. Felt like a whole new room but at the same time was comfortable and relaxing enough to be a home away from our home. When we walked down to walk the dog or go anywhere really we were greeted every time by the person at the front. Really made us feel if we needed anything they were here for us from the moment we came until we left. All the staff had mask on the whole time for those people who are very Covid conscious like we are so that was great to see. I’ve already told people if they visit the Annapolis area this is a wonderful hotel to stay at. When I come back in the area ill for sure be coming back to this hotel.

The location of the hotel was very convenient. Many amenities in the area.
Unfortunately, we were unaware when we booked this hotel that the pool was “waiting for an inspection”. This was one of the primary reasons for selecting this hotel. Not sure how frequently this occurs but the staff seemed used to directing people to the local pool, which was also closed the evening of our stay and would have cost a pretty hefty fee for a family of 5, considering we were already paying 250$ for one nights stay.
Rooms have been updated but the halls and common areas were in desperate need of new carpet or at least a carpet cleaner! Stains everywhere made the extra “cleaning” they boasted seem very superficial.

I liked the staff everyone was respectful and very helpful. The front desk staff more than willing to go out of there way to take care of me, and the housekeeping staff was so friendly every time I interacted with them. They didn't let me go a day without knowing they valued my business. Will be back soon. Thanks Hampton Annapolis. For taking care of me and my family!

This hotel was very clean and modern. It was convenient to downtown and in a quiet area. We liked having a room with a refrigerator as well. The bathroom was great with a separated area for the shower/stool and then the sink outside the door to make getting ready with 2+ people much easier.
