This is my second stay at the Maryland Inn. This time I had a King Size room which was very spacious! The hotel is old and floors uneven, it feels a bit odd at first but then you get used to it; it’s all part of the unique experience of a historic hotel. The location is excellent with easy walking through town and close to numerous restaurants and a CVS. Restaurant Tip - Chick and Ruth’s down the street offers a robust menu, affordable prices and great service. As an added plus - they open at 6:30am for breakfast. Excellent way to start your day in Annapolis and enjoy a nice walk early in the morning. Parking Tip - meters just outside the hotel, if you arrive at 5:30 or later and score a meter, 2 hrs is $4.45, no feeding and after 7:30pm you can leave it overnight. Meter starts back at 10:00am. Just read the signs for any temporary meter closures as they happen often and you can get your car towed.

My niece and her fiancé were married this weekend at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Annapolis, MD. The reception was held at the Calvert House (which is part of Historic Inns of Annapolis). All the out of town guests stayed at the Calvert House as well. Although, several of us live only 15 minutes away, we booked rooms for the weekend too. We were all so happy to be able to stay at the venue in this quaint and historic town of Annapolis. The room were great and the staff was fantastic. Special thanks to Lauren at the guest check in. She along with the other staff were always friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend staying at the Calvert House. I’m going to do it again on a less busy schedule so I can visit all the cute shops in town.

Stayed at Gov Calvert House in a King bed. Room was quite sizable. History of the old house is fascinating. My wife loved it and was lost in the lobby and adjoining rooms reading everything. The location is fantastic, and the service was great. The people at the front desk were very helpful and the valets were great. We used the valet for parking and convenience. We were tight on time to make a concert. I requested a slightly later checkout then worked in the lobby for a few more hours. I would much prefer to stay in a building like this than to stay in a large ubiquitous chain if given the opportunity.

The hotel/bnb is very nice. It is right in the center of the Annapolis shopping/restaurant area. Why are there no glasses in the room? I only found one styrofoam cup in the room - how about the bathroom? How about for coffee? How about if you bring a bottle of wine? I realize that this is the center of the historic district, however could the front desk explain parking options. After I commit to $30 valet parking bill I find an overnight parking space in front of our hotel building. Why in this area is the TV analog? How about putting a map on your website showing where your buildings are in Annapolis?

Thank you ScRedOne for the comments and feed back. We do have cups and there should have been 4 for drinking and 2 for coffee in the room, I apologies we missed this. As for parking, the parking in front of the buildings is only for 2 hours and if you get a ticket it would cost you $50 or more. Thank you again for your feed back and we will look to get HDTV as well as a map on our website. Respectfully, Daryl Strayer
