We were in town for Maryland Yule Ball. Our event and our stay could not have been better. Thanks so much to everyone who took care of us! Especially Diana in the bar. We hope to join you again soon. Happy New Year!
My husband and I love this hotel. It's easy to find, lot's of parking, easy check-in, friendly staff and delicious cookies! We were on the 4th floor this time, King room, good bed, quiet, bathroom on the small side, fresh towels, halls clean and wide, elevators fairly clean and fast. The pool was super! It would be a good idea to invest in a sound barrier there though, that traffic is soooo loud... the pool is large and plenty of loungers & towels. The restaurant is good for drinks or dinner. One night we had Oysters Rockafellar, Chicken Caprese Sandwich and Fish Sandwich, fries, everything was hot&fresh, good service too. Nice people to converse with at the bar. We love not having to leave the hotel if we don't want to, for a delicious meal that isn't 'delivery'. You can also walk to the Towne Center for shopping or Whole Foods or the myriad of store options. The hotel is close to so many things to do or you have the option to just stay & relax and enjoy all that this Hilton has to offer.…
We arrived at 2 a.m. after confirming earlier in the day that late check-in would not be a problem. We arrive at 2:30 a.m. and there was no one at the front desk. We explored the entire lobby level of the hotel and could find no one. We slept as best we could on two benches in the lobby until someone arrived at the front desk a little after 5 a.m. After getting a few hours' sleep in our room, I spoke with the general manager on our way out. He apologized for the abandonment of the front desk during the night and said it shouldn't have happened. He offered us breakfast, but we already had brunch plans with friends elsewhere. So we declined the offer. DoubleTree customer service repeatedly expressed their "understanding" that we were disappointed in our experience. They said to expect our refund in about three days. After 3 business days, I followed up with them and they said it would take another 7-10 days. Because up to this point DoubleTree had done little in good faith (only the offer of a free breakfast) to make up for our nightmare experience, I began to doubt their ability to accomplish a refund. So I followed up with my credit card company. *They* were quick to get this situation resolved and my stay was credited. Also, after not being given our room until 5 in the morning, my wife and I were understandably desirous of a cup of coffee when we got up at 8:30 a.m.after only 3.5 hours of sleep. The room only had a single pod of caffeinated coffee (and three useless decaf pods). So we went to the lobby seeking the complimentary coffee. It was empty. We asked about this at the front desk and they had someone from the kitchen bring out some more -- 20 minutes later.…
We came from Illinois with a super large winning group. Jamal Williams was a wonderful help, kind and friendly. The manager and assistant manager, Arnie and Christine, were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We loved it such a nice area and beautiful room and scenery and the staff and also other visitors were really sweet and helpful I would definitely recommend other people to come to this beautiful hotel
Stayed here for 2 nights. Nice enough room but looking tired and in need of some TLC. Staff friendly and helpful. The bathroom suite was looking aged but the shower was super strong 😊I liked the handy mini market next to reception where you can get drinks and snacks and there's a mini Fridge.
The hotel is in need of renovation. Bathroom is extremely small and needs updating. The breakfast buffet was pricey and had limited selections. The staff is super friendly and the hotel shuttle is a very nice perk.
Lots of great things about staying at the Doubletree, i.e close proximity to downtown, free shuttle drop off and pick up at the location of your choice, amazing cookies and friendly staff. However, the hotel needs a refresh. Our room smelled musty and the carpet was stained and kind of gross. If you’re not picky about your room, it’s a great value for the money.
I travel a lot for work. Never have I ever - even at other Hilton hotels not been able to combine reservations. There was a wedding block of rooms which I reserved and also added an extra night outside the block, which meant two separate reservations. When I checked in the Front Desk person said that she could not combine the two reservations. I said I do this all the time and she replied not at this hotel. So the next day, I had to go to the Front Desk - check out - get new cards/keys for the room and then she assigned the same room to my reservation. What the heck! Pitiful customers service. I even said that my cousin had a similar situation at the Crown Plaza and they were able to combine the reservations, however the Hilton Front Desk kept saying we can't do that at this hotel. The restaurant bar was short staffed and the food horrible. The bartender Craig started yelling at 2 customers for something I guess they did the night before - many of the patrons who were in the bar including myself thought a fight was going to break out - whatever happened the night before there was no reason for Craig to scream angrily at these two men but luckily for all of us the men left. Craig should have called security and let them handle. The breakfast buffet was pitiful - you get better free-food at a Best Western. Housekeeping came into our room without knocking first - found out that this happened to many of the guests! Room itself was clean enough - but not Hilton standard. We had two beds, one bed had 4 pillows the other had 2. Rug was stained. Asked for extra towels in the Hilton app prior to arrival - which we never received. Called down to the Front Desk for extra towels but had to wait 30 minutes because the housekeeping person didn't start work. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone!…
Comfortable and clean room. Helpful, welcoming and resourceful crew. My compliments to Ryan and Tone. They helped me find the right room (staying for a week) that is quiet and comfortable. When they say “let us know what we can do to make your stay better”…they mean it.
