We discovered this inn by accident. We were passing through Annapolis and had to grab breakfast at Chris and Ruth's. while dining, we noticed there was an inn upstairs. Just then the owner of the inn and restaurant manager, came by to chat about our breakfast. We had our two small kids with us. The owner chatted with us about... More

This place is certainly the best bang for the buck in the Main St. area. Rooms are a bit small, but that's how things were built in the 1800's. It is a historic building, with private bathrooms A/C & in every room, which are serviced by the cleaning staff daily. The managers of the B&B/restaurant are incredibly welcoming & friendly.... We spent 4 night at Scotlaur Inn the last week of April. Absolutely terrific location in downtown Annapolis, convenient to walk to shops, restaurants and the City Dock. It does not seem like a typical B & B, located above the Delly, and I would agree with the person who described it as "quirky". The rooms were quite small but... More

Terrific quirky place that reminded me of B&Bs in England where someone rented out an extra room to make some extra cash. Think "All Creatures Great & Small" not "Downton Abbey". The stairs are steep and the rooms are small but sparkling clean, PERFECTLY located. Comfortable bed, great "room darkening" curtains, plenty of pillows. It reminded us of a modern... More

This is truly a unique Bed and Breakfast. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay - the owners and staff are fun, funny, and extremely helpful with great boisterous energy! We loved our stay and the food was delicious! I would recommend this place to everyone! Great location too!

My boyfriend and I spent our weekend at the Scotlaur Inn (right above the Chick and Ruth Delly) and of course we come down every morning and evening to eat. The food and the service was amazing! the night manager Jim (or Jimbo) was great! He made sure that we were doing good, and made sure to say good night... More

Right in the heart of Annapolis. We didn't have to drive, if we didn't want to. Rooms are small but very clean and neat. It's not like most B&B's you go to. This feels much more like a hotel. But don't let that turn you off. Again, the location is sooo good you'll be glad you stayed there. The breakfast... More

Chic & Ruth's was always a "must-do" on my trips to Annapolis so I thought I'd try the Scotlaur for this overnight visit and, if there's a vacancy, I will never stay anywhere else in this beautiful town. Reservations were very easy to make on line. The room was smaller than most hotel rooms but it was very clean and... More

Don't listen to the negative reviews, this place is amazing and located above a must-try deli. The room is decorated in a cozy granny style charm and equipped with the basics: soaps. shampoo, alarm clock, air dyer. Location is great! You step out of the front door and you are automatically in the heart of downtown Annapolis, with the water... More

I just got back from a weekend stay at the Scotlaur and have to disagree with some of the negative reviews. I stayed in 304 and had no problem with fitting the roll away in the room. Granted it was tight but the room was super clean and cozy. My husband stayed with our son in 302 and had not... More
