This was a Thanksgiving trip to be with relatives. We love the 'suite' set up and nearness to all amenities. However, this was our second stay with them with the same issues: undrinkable coffee and not very clean pool. Let me start by saying, good coffee is not hard to brew. There is no reason it should have been so unpalatable. Reg. OR Decaf. The coffee tasted like the urns hadn't been cleaned since the place opened. Lots of 'build up' flavor. Not good. (even the coffee in the room was only marginally better. Come on folks. You can do better. Second. I am a swimmer. I am used to a clean pool to swim in. This is the SECOND time I have found their pool VERY CLOUDY (indicating floating particulate in the water) and chemicals SO HIGH the water stung my eyes EVEN THOUGH I wore goggles. Folks. upping the chemicals WON'T compensate for the particulate. You needed to put in a clumping (dropout) clarifier, run your pumps for about 6 hours. Thoroughly CLEAN your filers and replace your media and run your filter for another 2 hours. You definitely need to 'start over'. How would I know this? We had our own pool for 25 years. I know what it takes to maintain a clean pool and when to 'start over'. To repeat. Just adding more chemicals is only making your problem worse. Folks are really swimming in 'dirty' ( yuck) water. All that 'cloudiness' is dead skin, body lotion, hair gel, etc all suspended in the water. Time to get it under control. Other than that pretty good, though I did notice the duvet needed to be washed as well as the bed spread. ick. Folding the clean sheet down over the top 'made due'. Again, y'all can do better than that. We like the room set up. LOVE the kitchen (Put the dishes away in the dishwasher folks. I'm not taking anything out of a dishwasher as I don't know when it was run.) Common areas were clean. Breakfast area was clean and offered good variety. Not bad but certainly not up to the Hilton standard.…
Six of us stayed in a handicap accessible suite. It was Huge and clean. Only negative was that it only had ONE television for six people. The USB charging hook up was broken at our visit. Pool was fun for the kids. As clean as it was and what it offered it was over priced at $296 with all fees and taxes. Closer to Boston the same place was priced a hundred dollars less which is the opposite you would expect.
This was not my first time at this hotel, and my previous experience was great, but this time was less than stellar. While the hotel is well situated and had lovely common areas, the room we were given, quite frankly, should not have been rented out. Although it was clean, it was in serious need of repair. For example, one of the kitchen cabinets looked like it had been ripped off its hinges and no one bothered to replace it. The barn door to the sink area of the bathroom looked like it was about to fall off its rails and was very difficult to close. The most troubling was that the deadbolt didn't work. We slept with a door pushed against the door. I reported these things to the lady at the front desk upon checkout -even showed her photos, and she took notes and said it would be fixed, but offered no discount. She said I should have reported it the day before to be moved rooms, but we arrived late, were tired, and I had checked and knew there were no more rooms with 2 beds available that evening. I didn't argue with her, but if management thinks charging over $200 nightly for a room in this condition is acceptable, I will be looking at other hotel options in future.…
After a bad experience at a hotel in New Hampshire we were worried about what we were getting into in Augusta, but rest assured our worries were not needed. This property is clean and bright. The rooms were amazing, big, clean, bright with a full kitchen. Now yes, there are a few things that need to be addressed - as I was checking the bed I did find a long hair and the light in the room flickered a bit. But these were minor. The light can be addressed by either getting a better bulb or looking at the connection to the light switch (one we put the light to max it stopped flickering). I didn't bother reporting about the hair as I bring my own sheets and it was on the mattress protector. But overall, the was a dream to stay at, clean and spacious!
I stayed in this pet friendly hotel for five days while touring Maine. Great location to drive to other parts of the state. Friendly and professional staff. My suite was the size of an apartment. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast offers good variety that changed each day. Laundry services were great and required quarters for machines. Safe area and nice pet area. Wild blueberry bushes were used in landscaping.
My sister and I checked in to (and immediately out of) two other less expensive hotels in the Augusta area before happily checking in here. Folks, you get what you pay for. We regret not making our reservations here in the first place and skipping all the nonsense. Front desk was welcoming and quickly checked us (and my sisters small dog) in. They provided us complimentary water bottles upon arrival which was a nice touch. Our room was so clean, updated, smelled good, and the bed was so comfy! Climate control was quiet and efficiently cooled the room down. Fridge and freezer were immaculately clean, and there were clean plates and glasses as well. We didn't make use of the pool but I peeked in and it looked really nice; I only wish I'd brought my swim suit! From now on, whenever we visit our family in the area, we're booking the Homewood Suites secure in the knowledge that our stay will be comfortable and relaxing.…
Large, open breakfast area with hot options is very nice. An outdoor area for evening gatherings around the bonfire. The rooms themselves are very spacious and current. Nice layout with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Right off the highway so very convenient but also very quiet. Staff, especially front desk, was very helpful. When we were there, they were offering limited room cleaning so we could easily trade out for clean towels each day. Would stay there again.
My daughter accidentally left a package in our room and the front desk was helpful in making sure the package got picked up and sent to the destination we requested. Rooms were clean. Breakfast area was well stocked.
This is a beautiful facility.. However, there are issues which deserve attention. There are positively no "Diamond Member Parking Spaces" and no recognition by the front desk staff for diamond members. Other Hilton properties in the area are offering wine and beer in their pantries but there is nothing available in this beautiful facility. As much room as there is in this building, I would think that there might be consideration to some type of restaurant. When one has driven many miles to attend business meetings, it just does not make for a positive experience to have to get back in one's vehicle to drive to obtain preparations for meals or find a restaurant. It is my understanding that welcome receptions are held during some points during the week. The Augusta Homewood Hilton Suites could be an outstanding property but it needs some attention to detail.…
Great spot. Not much around it but handy to the interstate. Really great check in at the time. There were 2 gentlemen on the desk. Room was fine and everything was as it should be. A little loud as the people next door had the music up but it was off by 1030. Breakfast was good. Lots of variety. The lady working it was moving like lightning, greeting people and trying to look after them. She was great. Coffee was sub par.
