I admit I picked this hotel and Miraflores Suite because I wanted to sleep in the same bed as Daniel Craig, but based on the TripAdvisor reviews I expected it to be great. It isn't. Once the property manager checked us in, we literally never saw any staff again until we checked out. We had to move our bags upstairs... More

We had the home to ourselves, though we only rented two of the suites, both of which were extremely spacious. My children loved the spiral staircase leading to the loft in the Miraflores suite. The open bar, which is on an honor system, was a lovely treat after a long day of touring. The help was wonderful and always had... More

Canal House is a beautiful boutique hotel and as others have said, the staff are really friendly and helpful especially Ivana who is amazing. As we only had one night in Panama City she helped us organise a pick up from the airport, a driver to show us around the main sights and a restaurant for the evening. In 24... More

We just returned from Panama this week and stayed 2 nights at the Canal House. It was absolutely incredible. We had the 2 bedroom suite, which was perfect for us and our 2 year old daughter. The house is amazing and location is perfect. Noise was not a problem, although we did hear some music at night but nothing to... More

We thought we were reserving a room at top rated Los Cuatro Tulipanos but were directed to Canal House and told the two places are under the same ownership with Canal House catering more to short term stays. We were not disappointed by this charming late-19th century town house in Panama City's Casco Viejo. Based on our two-night experience, Canal... More

The best part about Canal House was the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful. PAULA was like a personal concierge! The boutique hotel is in a great part of town, walkable to everywhere. Canal House only has three rooms and we chose the smallest, which was limited in closet space. On the other hand we had... More

I stayed in Canal House and had wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms where spotless and the beds where dreamy. The location was perfect and I was able to walk to all the good restaurants and hot spots for drinking and dancing in Panama City. I highly recommend staying at Canal House and can't wait... More

This hotel is a restored building in Casco Viejo. It is a good place to base yourself in Panama City and is not like the high rises downtown. the service is really good and the staff helpful. YOu can walk to many restaurants and bars. Casco Viejo is in a building boom and now is the time to go before... More

This is the place if you are looking for a local experience. We stayed in the Gatun suite, it was amazing. The restoration in the area was not an issue and the loud neighbors have moved on. The area is authentic and charming, the perfect place to stay.

Stayed for three nights in June 2013 in the Gatun Suite. The hotel is very nice. The staff (Ivana and the various housekeepers) are very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, Casco Viejo (a.k.a. Casco Antiguo) is definitely the place to stay if you're visiting Panama City on tourism. It's a quaint neighborhood that is in the process of gentrifying, quite... More
