The Hilton Panama garners appreciation for its fair pricing and affordable luxury, such as the spa services and room service, despite occasional upcharges. Its central location is celebrated by guests of all kinds, and the hotel's amenities, including a praised pool and variety of dining options, are often highlighted.
The spacious rooms with impressive views are a hit, though some guests have noted maintenance issues. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives commendations, a few have raised concerns, and while the service is considered friendly, there have been some reports of slow breakfast service.

It is a good hotel, located on Balboa Avenue, about 500 meters from the metro line. And 10 minutes by car from the old town ( U$ 4). Breakfast is very complete, natural juices, eggs to taste, varied fruits, etc. The rooms are spacious, and overlooking the sea, I was fascinated by the comfort of the bathroom, spacious and very functional. It has a pleasant swimming pool and large function rooms. Service in some areas was not what I expected. But overall it is an excellent choice

We enjoyed Sunday brunch at the Hilton Panama. There was a great variety of food: omelette station, fresh-squeezed juices, pastries, and local foods. There is a great view of Avenida de Balboa and the Pacific Ocean from the outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, especially Alexandra. Even though we were lodging elsewhere, we came here for brunch twice. I look forward to going back when I return to Ciudad de Panamá.

Thank you to all my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting at the Hilton Panama. We arrived later in the evening. It was a bit busy but check-in and valet parking were a breeze. Our 23rd floor suite was easily the largest hotel room I have ever been in! Amazing ocean views. But the staff is always what makes or breaks a hotel and this staff is caring and attentive. From breakfast, Aristoteles and Haidy saw to all our needs, and after day two of our seven days there, the lady checking names remembered our name and room number! Breakfast was the only meal we ate at the hotel but it was good. Lots of choices, juices and an omelet station. All great. Please don't miss the spa! Very reasonably priced by US standards. We got a couples massage which included one hour of hot tub/dry sauna/steam sauna, showers and a relaxation room with drinks and snacks. The massage was outstanding and when we came out, the spa manage and both therapists were standing side by side in the reception area waiting for us. I'm sure they had better things to do but they took the time to personally greet us. They then brought us back to the relaxation room where they had prepared a personalized sign along with a complimentary bottle of champagne and cheese/fruit tray. We did not order or ask about this, they just somehow found out it was my wife's birthday and did it. This was on our last night there and it was the cherry on top of a great and memorable stay. Thank you to Spa Manager Silvia Salazar and Therapists Natalay and Edilsa for a wonderful experience!

I've been staying at Hilton several times in Rio de Janeiro at work and it's always been wonderful. I wanted my wife to have the same experience, but unfortunately she didn’t even get close.
We went to spend the Reveillon in the city and if it depended only on the Hotel, we would have chosen another place. The facilities of the Hotel are standard Hilton, but the service was much to be desired. Here are some examples of the various situations we have been through in this hotel (I will only mention the most impactful ones):
My wife went to pick up some flyers at the Concierge stand and received the following sentence: "Either come here to be able to help you or get out of there, because you're hindering the queue."
When we needed the concierge service, the help seemed pretty weird to me. We were looking for a boat ride to the islands and indicated a person who was in the hall of the hotel who wanted to charge us 90 USD per person just to take us to the Marina. However, when he realized that we found a very high value, he changed the price saying that he could make a "discount" and go for 60 USD, and we got an Uber for 5 USD. The Hotel may even claim that it has no responsibility in these situations, but the person was indicated by the concierge and was in the hotel hall.
We ended up having to spend the Reveillon in the hotel room, because they couldn't confirm our reservation for the party, claiming that it was a problem with the restaurant (which is inside the hotel and is the same restaurant we took breakfast). We sent an email asking for confirmation, they did not respond and only warned us that there were no vacancies when it was already late, but still they continued to make the party propaganda throughout the hotel as if there were tickets available. They even commented that there was another option, but that we would have to pay 200 USD per person to stay in a closed place. Given our experience with the person on the ride, we were afraid of being another trap.
We also had contact with people who served us very well, for example, at breakfast or the cleaning staff, but the bad concierge service and some people at the reception ended up spoiling our experience. It seems to me that they are not concerned with our experience and are very restricted, limited only to what is requested.
One last tip, if you still want to risk this hotel, bring a blouse and pants for the trip to Panama, as you will need in this hotel (air conditioning is on at most).

Looking at reviews i was a bit worried but i was totally wrong. The fantastic service started before we even arrived with an email from Jose B Guest Service Operator asking wonderful questionbefore our stay and informing us the breakfest buffet is from 6:30am to 10:30am. The pool is open from 8am to 8pm. The uber ride from the airport was only $14 and was great. Once we got here it continued to be fantastic from the door being opened and greeted to check in with Marcelino whom was welcoming . He acknowledged our Hilton status, upgraded our room to ocean view and we had a special surprise for our anniversary. Drinks at blue bar by Gabriel so on point some of the best drinks I've had. yes drinks were quite expensive for this area but since were from Chicago it was what we are used to paying for $12 to $15 a drink. The pool bar loved the location but seemed the drinks were more expensive and didnt seem to taste as good as the blue bar not bad by any means just Gabriel had this magical touch not sure how. We had breakfasts only one day out of the 2 because we had a early flight but the breakfasts was amazing so much to choose from and omelettes prepared by Tubi wow and the fresh juice bar. The bed was comfortable and easy to stay in unfortunately our first night it was hard to sleep as someone was having a party and i could hear the music echoing but that's ok im sound sensitive. Check out by Addis was wonderful. I had one issue with our room that was taken care right away and really not big of a deal. And the awesome service continued as we got an email from the manger thanking us for our stay and asking how everything was. Ok so i do have my 3 odds for this hotel. the hotel has 2 elevators to get you to your room from street to lobby and then separate from lobby to the rooms. Also the hot tub was barely hot which was kind of sad. Lastly our room attendant came at 3:30 pm to clean our room which seemed very late and kind of awkward. Since we had just gotten back from spending the day away. But we know now and look forward to staying here again. Also just extra info it costed $4 to uber to the mini rainforest (Metropolitan Natural Park) 15 mins drive from here and $5 to old Town ( Casco Viejo) 15 mins from the hotel. Also the restaurants here do take credit card visa, mc no amex but the servers do ask for cash for tip so be prepared. they do us USA currency. Pool towels need to be obtained from the spa they ask for room number and have to be returned. Lastly there is a store across the street called Good day that has aloe, meds, beer just like a small store. Enjoy.

Saying that this hotel is five stars is an understatement! We were recently there for my daughter's destination wedding, and the 120 people at the venue, of whom 80 were staying at the hotel, have nothing but praise. The gentleman in the first-level lobby welcomes you from the moment you arrive. He shows you your way to the elevator and tells you where to go. At the main lobby, you are greeted by smiling faces, and you are willing and ready to make your stay a success. Everybody speaks English, which was perfect for our guests who do not speak Spanish. Every room in this building has a fantastic view regardless of its location (facing the ocean or the city). The breakfast is not your regular American continental breakfast or a typical Panamanian breakfast but a perfect fusion, delicate, healthy, and exquisite. From the moment we started the process a year and a half ago, I noticed the attention to detail from the event planning team (Andrea, Daniel, and Addys); their accounting Department is also fantastic, and the chefs in charge of preparing the food for my daughter's wedding are top-notch. On the other hand, the guests were very impressed by the customer service, the perfect location of the hotel and its closeness to different activities and venues around the city, the food, the comfort of the rooms, and how easy the whole process of checking in, checking out, and receiving assistance from anybody in the building was. One of the guests told me she is now spoiled and wants nothing less than a Hilton experience on her future trips, and the same is true for us on our future trips to Panama City, Panama. Don't stay anywhere else in the city; stay at Hilton Panama!

4.5 stars! I was able to check-in early and prep for my next adventure. Gina was very nice at concierge. Hand towels are the size of bathmats - I thought they were missing from the room, but no they are just insanely large. American stations on the TV and more channels, separate vanity area inside of bathroom which I love for getting dressed, fridge stocked with drinks for purchase, buttons to turn on all lights, seated bench in front of bed, coffee machine with tea and coffee, large size bathroom with two separate entries, pool closes @ 8pm daily, no umbrella coverings for the loungers once the sun is out. I did get to enjoy the pool & jacuzzi by myself early morning. Great view from the room and pool. Perfect location to head to the bridge and walk along the water. Very nice and large fitness center. Eateries and cafes within walking distance. Despite missing the opportunity to surprise and delight me for my birthday, I think this will be my go-to hotel when I stay in PC.

We had high expectations for the five-star hotel, but were disappointed by the poor cleanliness and service. The location and view were nice, but the room and breakfast area were unsatisfactory for our family with two young children seeking medical treatment. I had an unpleasant experience at the breakfast bar when I noticed a medium-sized roach scuttling over the bread cutting board. Despite notifying the staff right away, we were concerned about kitchen hygiene. The breakfast manager approached us with an apology, acknowledging some matters are beyond their control. However, we think it's critical that upper management give this issue careful thought. Following this incident, we observed staff visiting rooms to perform spraying, but they said they would come back due to the presence of children. Hilton should elevate pest control and cleanliness for better guest satisfaction. The breakfast options were limited and coffee/tea service was slow. The room cleanliness was unsatisfactory; dirty carpets, dusty surfaces, stains on walls and curtains, and fingerprints on windows. Housekeepers only vacuumed after we asked. Our Premium Ocean View room had a small coffee machine but no cups. The bathroom was spacious but lacked storage shelves and hooks, making the space less functional.

The Hotel is very nice and spacious beautiful pool. Excellent location. Check in was very easy.. We had a one bedroom suite because of my diamond status they gave us an upgrade. Unfortunately, being a diamond status in Panama gives you no special privileges like the US and around the world, no free bottle of water no free drinks no free breakfast no concierge the prices in Panama at the hotel or equal to the prices in US and Miami. To piña colada without alcohol was $25. Warning do not ask for a cab at the hotel go to the mall it will be $25 walk outside and it will cost you $4 dollars. Again poor service from the hotel we ordered room service chicken quesadillas and also buffalo wings the chicken quesadillas. I had very little chicken, the barbecue buffalo wings too hard to eat. That cost us $75, ridiculous. When we mentioned that the room service was very bad nobody really cared!!! The best time to visit the hotel is Wednesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday that’s when they have entertainment. Sunday Monday Tuesday nothing. The casino downstairs is two levels very small and if you lose $1000 and then you win $1000 they take 5% out for taxes , just beware. The beds the rooms are very clean and very comfortable bathrooms. Very big small office area but you don’t need much room around cam but ironing board iron and safe. Plenty of towels, bed and pillows extremely comfortable great view of the ocean from the 19th floor.

I enjoyed the location. Close to old town and the waterfront. It’s a nice hotel. The pool and gym was nice. I liked the restaurants close by. Breakfast buffet was lovely with great team at restaurant. Front desk is nice.
Issue: housekeeping Called and asked for two boxes of tissue and was told limit was one per day. Keep in mind we denied housekeeping for the first two days...so Hilton saved on “products” on those first two days. Quite ridiculous and made me think automatically to myself “why didn’t I stay at Marriot?” We actually did stay at the W prior to this Hilton and they gave five times amount of everything we asked for. Bottled water and shampoos etc! W Panama (Marriot) went above and beyond. Speaking of bottled water Hilton only offered two bottles of water for a five night stay.
We had privacy light on the room door and the daily housekeeping would knock every day. One day I said no thanks and the housekeeping asked to come use my hotel room phone to make a call. I’m easy going and allowed it because of language barrier but I could see someone else getting really annoyed about the request to come use my hotel room phone to make a call. Strange. Not professional. Needs more training.
Walls are thin too. We could hear our neighbours tv blaring.

Good Evening, thank you for your question.
At the time of your arrival the front desk clerk will ask for your credit card to take an authorization or hold equivalent to the total of your room rate plus 10% tax per night plus $100.00 per night for incidentals or extra charges like food and beverage.
For example, a two nights stay with a rate of $200.00 plus 10% tax per night represents an authorization of $640.00

hi Carla, the Hilton doesn't have an airport shuttle, but you can get taxis from the airport or even Uber , for about $18 from the airport to the Hilton. The airport is about 25 minutes from the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Panama City area.
