Stayed at La Abuela for a total of about 3 weeks, intermittently over a 4 month period from April to August, 2012. I think one of the other reviews was not about this same Hostal. The staff at La Abuela is fabulous, very attentive, helpful, courteous and providing any assistance they could. The rooms are resaonably clean with air-con, TV,...

I stayed here for a while due to a safety issue at a place I rented. I liked that I felt very safe on the property. I only saw only a couple of places to eat within a 5 minute walking distance. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and the options were eggs, pancakes, cereal, gallopinto, or fruit....

This small bed and breakfast ([--]) located in Managua, Nicaragua (Villa Fontana) became my center of operations to visit all of Nicaragua. Unlike most bed and breakfast places I have been, I actually enjoyed staying at the Hostal La Abuela because I felt welcomed like family. Also the food and the service was excellent and they have everything modern.

I wanted a bed and breakfast hostel in Managua, Nicaragua and a friend recommended this location for my stay in September 07.. Frankly I selected it because the price was right. It was not easy to find a bed a breakfast location in Managua since they do not advertise themselves in any manner as far as I can tell. But...
