I had rented through Booking.com - As soon as Manfred received the confirmation from them, he sent me an email confirming my reservation and asking me if I needed a transfer from the airport. The transfer went very smoothly and the driver was there in time (16 $ US). My suite was Tutankamon, the one on the upper floor with...

The AC is great, breakfast tasty with fresh juice on a patio and the ambience is relaxed. Manfred, our host, is a personable guy who loves to stick around for a chat, so we felt very welcomed. It's a quiet and safe location. Only minor comments is a number of rooms have an AC unit installed to the slanted roof...

If you are looking for something a little different and less American, this hotel is for you. If you prefer a personalized experience and a nice outdoor breakfast, consider this hotel. You will not find the standard amenities of large hotels but you will find a wonderful Nicaraguan experience and you will have the opportunity to get to know the...

La Pyramide might not be the priciest or fanciest hotel in Managua but I'd dare any pricey or fancy hotel to offer the comfort and sense of welcome that you get at La Pyramide. All that thanks to Manfred's, the owner, über-personnality and caring. He could't do enough to make you feel welcome as a guest and to be as...

After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, I booked a standard room at the Hotel La Pyramide through Booking.com for two nights. After I booked the room, I noticed that the info stated the reservation was for one person, so I emailed the hotel and requested that the booking be for two people. I received a prompt response from the host,...

It is rare that one finds a hotel run by such a dedicated individual, who gives incredible personal attention and assistance and genuine care for each and every one of his visitors. The owner takes great pride in what he does, and it shows in this wonderful hotel. I would highly recommend and will hopefully return one day!

My daughter and I went to Nicaragua in 2008 for a 2 week vacation and mission trip. We were lucky to pick La Pyamide. Manfred met us at the airport and accompanied us back to his hotel. The hotel is set up as the Egyptian pyramids and each room is named. The colors are vibrant and alive. Awaiting us was...

Stayed for two nights before joining a medical group for a volunteer clinic. Enjoyed the experience at the hotel and the food was excellent. Very safe and quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and bars, but I would recommend eating at Manfred's hotel. I stayed late the morning of my final day so I could enjoy one more meal. Arranged transport...

Service was excellent. Manfred is very attentive, from arranging ground transportation to providing advice for food, money exchange etc. To be fair, this isn't a 5-star hotel so a 5 rating wouldn't be accurate. I would call this a B&B or a boutique motel--it's funky architecture and interesting rooms, but it's clean and comfortable. We arrived late into Managua and...

He went out of his way (many times) to ensure that our needs were met and was so thoughful to assist us with things we didn't know that we would need. You...
