We stayed here on our final night in Nicaragua before an early flight, and really weren't expecting much. Nicaragua Guest House pleasantly surprised us by providing bottled water on our arrival, and arranged us both a cab and a prepared breakfast for the next morning. The room was spartan but adequate. If you don't want to explore Managua too deeply,...

We stayed here for one night prior to our flight out of Managua the following day. We arrived early from the chicken bus from San Juan but they took us straight to our room which had a private bathroom And a tv so I could watch the world Cup. The hostel is very clean and the owners are helpful. Breakfast...

I've stayed at this hostel four times so far. Considering location, price, and the staff, it's the perfect place for someone like me who needs nothing more in Managua than a clean, safe place to spend the arrival night before catching a morning bus to, say, Jinotega or on return an early plane home. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful,...

I am sure Nicaragua Guest House is fine but I made the mistake of reserving a room with my credit card. Due to bad weather I missed my connection to Managua. I let them know as soon as possible but I was in transit. They not only kept the deposit I had paid (which is acceptable) but charged the remainder...

At Nicaragua Guest House I found a place to rest and do my duties meanwhile I stayed in Managua. Being nice and friendly received by doña Elena and Antonio, with cold water to drink in the afternoon-night and a courtesy breakfast in the morning, I felt I had everything I need for my days at Nicaragua's capital.

Look, some of these reviewers are complaining that NGH is "depressing", etc. If you want something fancy then go take your $250 per night to the fancy hotels. NGH is a great place to bunk down before hitting the airport. It feels safe, you can walk to the mall, even has internet! The owners are super cool..........set me up with...

We chose this hostel due to its closeness to the airport on our last night in Nicaragua. The owner was very nice and helpful. However the place is somewhat depressing and was not really how we wanted to remember our otherwise wonderful holiday in Nicaragua. If its just a bed you want then fine, but the hostal is not in...

My wife and I stayed here for one night before an early morning flight the next day. We were both very happy with the size of the room (we had a two bed private room with bathroom), cleanliness, and internet access. The other thing we really liked was that it was a safe location, and we were able to walk...

This hostel is well located near a mall in a relatively safe area (you can walk there and back at night; something of a rarity in Managua). The staff are friendly and helpful. The room, however, whist cleanish, is very basic, not a place you want to spend much time in, and appears to have suffered from little, if any,...
