I went in summer with some friend from Greece to eat. Not very friendly staff. Food wasn't to tasty. Not impressed. The girden is very nice and the place is relaxing one but nothing more. Maybe I will make another try next summer, hoping for a change. Can't make a recommendation!

Hanul lu'Manuc is a very known place by the habitants of Bucharest and not only. It's a old building, since the Middle Ages, known by all merchant men who were had businesses in Bucharest those times. This building is nearby the Unirii square and the historic old town of Bucharest . It's a good restaurant with Romanian and European cuisine,... More

This is a big traditional restaurant in the old centre. They have lots of clients and maybe that's why they are quite slow with the food and the bill. I could've ignored that if the food were great, but unfortunately I wasn't impressed. Taste was average and food almost cold, which I completely hate.

I used to go here before they closed it for rehabilitation. I've had the chance to return a few days ago with my Italian friends and we really liked the place, the food and the service. The garden is very, very nice and it has this "old city" feeling. The food was good and also the personnel very attentive. I... More

My first visit in May (just for a beer) was quite memorable, so I decided to return this time as well. We had the misfurtune to visit the place on a Saturday evening. What a disppointment! Our waiter was totally unable to cope with the full house. Took ages to order, took ages to get the drinks. A salad which... More

If you visit Bucharest, especially summer months, worth a dinner in this place. The dishes we ordered here : Cioraba de burta, sarmale, pastrav cu mamaliga, and the famous papanasi cu smintina si dulceata de visine were delicious. We noted the historical structure of the place and the pavement in wood (at the entrance in the restaurant)that was typical of... More

We were there 6 people meeting a friend of us who lives in Switzerland. We stayed on the terrace. We really not enjoyed. Actually it was a bad experience and we, the ones who live in Romania, were really ashamed of the place we choose. That was because it took a looong time for the waiter to come and take... More

Hanul lui Manuc is now a recomandable location for a pleasant experience of the traditional romanian food. Service was excellent, even the restaurant was crouded (19:30 - 23:30). Menue, both in Romanian and English, offers a broad choise to select from. Waiters are well trained and very attentive. I recommand the location both for business or family/friends evenings.
