The Tiare Tahiti is on the nice side of downtown, just a short walk from the cruise ship docks. It is also only 3 blocks from the market and it is near many restaurants and shops. We found it to be clean and well maintained and the room was spacious. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful -...

Hello everyone. I stayed 3 times in this hotel during the months of December 2014 and January 2015. ( In between I was on board the ARANUI -III. The hotel location is perfect, I walked to the ship, the Market and shops are all in walking distance. The supermarket is in walking distance. The room was always very clean I...

Stayed 6 nights here during my visit to French Polynesia. It is handy for the town, just 5 minutes from the interesting market, ferries and food vans at night. This is one of the best and most reasonable ways to eat in the evening. Room spacious and clean. Pillows a bit hard and old. Bed okay. Mountain view was ideal...

The location right across from the wharf was perfect for the one night before our cruise. We arrived late evening and slept, then the next morning we wheeled our bags across the street and checked in for our cruise. The room was clean and the simple old-style furniture was in good repair. AC works well, just needed to figure out...

We picked this hotel as we wanted to avoid the big multinational hotels. We found it to be VERY clean with a good outlook, pleasant staff, comfortable beds but the downside for us was the traffic noise. It's not like Asia with car horns blaring but just constant background noise even with windows closed and air con on. We had...

We stayed twice at the hotel.... we were taking the Paul Gauguin cruise and arrived a day early and spent that day and evening at the hotel. Amazingly, even though we arrived about 7:30 AM they had a room open and allowed us to check in at this very early hour. On our return from a few days stay in...

We selected this hotel for one night prior to our cruise on the Aranui 3 and two nights afterwards, because of its central location and past reviews. Booking was through email direct to the hotel and reservation was held for ten months with no deposit. They will store luggage if your arrival is early. As stated before, the room is...

We were able to walk to the ferry, cruise ship, and roulettes, as well as do any shopping. We spent one night in a harbor front and one in back room on return. Very basic but air conditioning and TV. Be aware that you will be charged for local calls. No blackout curtains so don't plan to sleep in and...

We were looking for a simple, unpretentious three-star hotel in Papeete town, close to everything and inexpensive. We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff are very friendly and speak good French and English. We disembarked from our cruise ship and walked to the hotel in five minutes, easily wheeling our luggage behind us. The place is on the...

Stayed here one night before a Tahiti cruise. Basic hotel but clean and comfortable. Try for a room overlooking the harbour - well worth the extra dollars. There are many restaurants within walking distance. It was nice to watch our cruise ship arrive in port and know that in a few hours we would be on board.
