We had 2 nights in the hotel prior to boarding a cruise on the Paul Gauguin. The location on the Esplanade opposite the Marina is wonderful, and very close to the city centre for shopping & restaurants. We booked a Harbour View Room, and it was most worthwhile - our 3rd floor ro

This place is centrally located near the marketplace in Papeete. It is old and run down. There is one elevator that is not always functional. The rooms are small and drab. The bathrooms are almost unusable. There is a shower that is extremely difficult to access.

We stayed here in November just for one night before we went to Moorea. 24 hour reception which is good but the place itself is basic. Rooms old no wifi and air con was leaking water. No water in rooms which was a pity as it was very warm. Its fine for a stop over after a long fl

This hotel is walking distance to most attractions/restaurants/market in Papeete. It's basic, but clean and comfortable. The traffic noise takes a little getting used to, the views over the marina make up for that. The hotel staff are lovely and so very helpful. Breakfast is grea

Basic hotel that is in downtown Papeete, very clean, air conditioning, close to airport. It does not have airport shuttle. Easy walking distance to tourist sites in Papeete. Close to food trucks that start opening around 6-6:30 pm.

Is there UBER or LYFT tranportation available? On any of islands?
No Uber or Lyft. Plenty of taxis with set rates. Found them to be honest quoting rates.

How much r meals if u r to provide breakfast , lunch and supper . what events that are there for a romantic couple coming that place as a honeymoon trip
Congratulations on your wedding! Food in Tahiti is expensive. We had breakfast included with our stay at Tahiti Tiara. But it was lots of baguette with some fruit & coffee. There was the option for one egg or some yogurt. But it was mostly carbs. Believe the meal would have cost $10 US. We ate at Le Roulettes food trucks by the waterfront park for dinner. Great atmosphere & lots of choice. Meals were $10-15 each. There are lots of cafes with outside seating in Papeete. We didn't go to any high end restaurants there as we had great food in Mo'orea & on our cruise. If I were you l'd check out restaurants on TripAdvisor for whatever town you are in. Can't go wrong! There are food vendors for lunch at the municipal market. Very crowded but nothing written in English! There's also the option to pick up some food at the grocery store & have a picnic by the water. There are boat tours that you can catch at the marina across from Tahiti Tiare. Again check out TripAdvisor for some guidance. If you rent a car you can drive to Tahiti Iti to the south. Teahupoo is a big surfing beach there & worth seeing. La Plage de Maui (on Maui Beach) has fabulous seafood at the restaurant. Vanira Lodge is a beautiful resort up in the hills. They serve breakfast and dinner. It might be worth a night or two... but rent a spa room for the A/C! There are many web sites that talk about the drive around Tahiti. Frommer's has a good site. You can stop to see water falls, museums, lots to see. Just try not to drive through Papeete during rush hour. It is insane! Definitely take the ferry to Mo'orea. Cars are very expensive to rent there. Albert's Transport can do private or shared tours around the island. We used him to transport us to Sofitel. Also did a safari tour of the island. Great trip to Magic Mtn & Belvedere point. Dinner at Sofitel might be a good idea for some romance! They have entertainment, sometimes local dancers. Very good show. Beautiful setting. Only thing is sometimes service in the restaurant is poor. Other great restaurants on Mo'orea are Le Mahogany & Rudy's. Again, look on TripAdvisor to see what your choices are. Hope this helps! Enjoy that beautiful part of the world!

Sorry for not responding earlier. I'm not sure if they will allow you a day room. Best to contact the hotel directly.
