I stayed at the Hotel Tiare Tahiti on two separate nights where I had late arriving and departing flights to/from Easter Island. I found the staff very helpful at organising late night taxis and checkin was available late at night (past midnight), with a slightly later checkout of 11am. The rooms are basic, but completely comfortable and clean with airconditioning....

Not what I would call a 5 or 4 star hotel but pleasant staff and convenient location right across from waterfront. Can walk to major parks, shopping areas, protestant and catholic churches, bank, ATMs. Our room price included nice breakfast: plate of fresh fruit, juice nectar, coffee, wonderful large croissant and mini loaf of french bread with real butter from...

Ideal spot if you want to be very close to the ferry to Moorea. The people here were very nice and friendly. The place is a little tired but clean. Taxi from airport cost 2,100XPF. Breakfast was fun and reasonably inexpensive (as I recall).

I choose to stay in the Tiare Tahiti hotel because of the location. The room are not much cheaper than other hotels in the center of Papeete, but they offer the strict minimum. Rooms are really old and not well maintained. I am used to Asia and most of small hotel there are much better for the price you pay....

Great hotel upon arrival from LAX. About a 10 minute walk to ferry terminal. $15 cab fare from hotel to ferry terminal. $30 cab fare from airport in Papaette. Beds are comfortable but rather firm. Service was good, air conditioning in room. Rooms facing street are rather noisy, request rooms facing parking lot if possible. Twin rooms are more comfortable...

Easily the worst hotel we've stayed in. Think one star motel. The bed is only beaten for awfulness by the two lumpy pillows. Asking for more pillows in French was met with apologies that they have too many guests to offer more than one pillow per person. Say what? One star for the ceiling not leaking and the friendly way...

This hotel is ideally located in the middle of town. Lots of traffic noise but near the ferry and all the shops and cafes. The building is old and in need of refurbishment. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful but when there are difficulties, they can be curt. Food trucks nearby at night give variety options for dinner.

We wanted a place to stay in Papeete close to the cruise dock. Didn't need anything fancy as we would have plenty of that on our 12 day cruise! We stayed 2 nights at the Tiara Tahiti Hotel. We chose a waterfront room...which happens to be right on Blvd de la Reine Pomare IV. A main road through town that...

This hotel is a quality budget hotel. My family & friends often stay at this hotel as a rest stop prior to taking an international flight. It is conveniently located in the center of town, within a short walking distance of shops & eating spots. The rooms are spotless. The staff are extremely hospitable. The convenience of a continental breakfast...
