Our only objection to the hotel was that we were driving and the hotel wasn't easy to find and the location isn't near any of the major sights. However, we were satisfied with everything else about the hotel. The staff was very helpful; our room was small but well-laid out and very clean. The breakfast was very good. It was a very good value.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It has the look and feel of one of the better varieties of Holiday Inn and while it delivers absolutely nothing unexpected or beyond the norm, it does what it does very efficiently and well.

Very clean room, good bathroom with a great walk-in shower. Breakfast was reasonably good though repetitive. Strong wifi connection in all parts of the hotel, cable TV, room safe, aircon etc etc. all present and correct. Location is very good - in a nice residential neighbourhood, lots of decent restaurants within close walking distance, and about 10/15 minutes in a cab from the Old Town. The service was top notch, including a list of recommended bars and restaurants in the area which was handed to me unbidden at check-in.

A good modern option in Montevideo if you are on a mid-level budget and want a solid, clean and secure choice that will not break the bank.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days last March and had a great time there. Rooms are very clean and spacious, and the quality of sleep is very good. The breakfast is way above the average in Montevideo and the location is perfect, in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff was very helpful, especially Ms Florinda at the front desk, Unfortunately the general manager was quite unprepared in dealing with a minor problem (a piece of clothing went missing from our bedroom, but nothing important). We tried for two days to talk to the her (whose name we didnt know), but she was never available to meet us, even though she was on the building. Apart from that, it was a perfect weekend, and i strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a reservation with breakfast for one night. We checked in on Nov 7 around 1600 hrs and got Room 903. A young, courteous and informative lad checked us in.

Room was spacious, well-maintained - the hotel seems to be newly built.

The next day, as we had a bus to Colonia for our onwards journey back to Buenos Aires, we checked out at 0640.

The breakfast timing was from 0700 hrs (Saturday). We asked if we could grab something that is ready, like a cup of coffee or a yoghurt pack or a slice of bread. Pls note we were not asking for a proper breakfast, not even a rudimentary breakfast, we are sensible enough to have full respect for their schedule and preparation activities. We asked for something, in fact anything, which already was there – without disturbing their work.

A middle-aged man at the reception and a middle-age lady at the breakfast room, adjacent to the reception, bluntly refused with a curt reply, NO - breakfast starts at 0700 hrs. We asked if we could get just a glass of water only to put things in perspective. Their reply was still NO!!!

After having stayed at hundreds of hotels, I am pretty much sure that it was truly a modest request. In fact, one can normally get breakfast on request in the middle of the night at 4* and above hotels. This is what hospitality is all about, to make your guest feel at home, comfortable and welcome.

I don’t know what arrangement they have for breakfast. Perhaps they have outsourced it. However, regardless, outsourced or in-house, this style and level of inhospitality will definitely take the hotel down. If they don’t have this much decency - in hospitality branch, they shouldn’t be there.

We left the hotel disappointed and disgusted.
To summarize: No major issues as far as hardware is concerned. The operative system on the other hand seems to be totally corrupted. But it could do bettter, I am sure.

Situated in a residential part of the Punta Carretas district Not too much close by , although the shopping mall is within walking distance . Rooms are clean with comfortable beds and 32 inch screen TV - very clean. Bathroom small but with a large walk in shower. Wifi in the room worked quite well.

Breakfast was good with a wide selection of pastries cold meats and cereals

This time I had d inner in the hotel and although the menu was not very extensive , the food was good and reasonably priced.

I have stayed 3 nights in the Intercity Montevideo in March 2012. Usually, I went to the Sheraton during my stays there and was always satisfied. But due to a conference that took place in MVD, the Sheraton, and also my 2nd choice, the Trip, was fully booked. I had thus to find other options and fortunately found the Intercity Premium, a newly opened hotel from the Brazilian Intercity chain. I have stayed a couple of times in Intercity Gravatai, Brazil, which was always serving well and thought the same hotel chain would be at least even good in another city. My assumption was right, the Intercity MVD, a 4-star hotel, was a very good choice. I paid € 130 per night, incl. taxes and breakfast. The people at the reception were friendly and helpful and served me well, as were generally the staff. My room on the 4th floor was heading towards a quiet side street. The room was large, but unfortunately with two single beds. Nevertheless, they were comfortable, although I would have preferred a double bed. The working desk was perfect and the wifi internet connection was very reliable and super fast (more than 100 Mbit/s).
The airconditioning system was very efficient and quiet, no problem to leave it on at night. The bathrom was rather small, with a small washbasin. The toilet was relatively small, too. But the shower compensated that, as it offered a lot of space, and the raindrop showerhead was really comfortable. Both, room and bathroom, were very clean.
Breakfast was very simple though. For me it was no problem, because I only need coffee, which was very good by the way, but I could imagine that people from the US would be rather disappointed. Nevertheless, the things they offered were good.
The hotel is situated well, there are really dozens of nice bars and restaurants around. Punta Carretas shopping mall is a 10-15 mins walk away, the Rambla is about 20 mins away. The old city centre is relatively far away, about 20 mins by taxi. MVD is a very safe place, you can stroll around without any problems, even at night.
This newly opened hotel is definitely a good alternative to the international chain hotels in the city and I will eventually go back when staying in MVD again.

This is the newest hotel in Montevideo. It is placed in a quiet area in Punta Carretas not far from the Golf Club and the Shopping Mall.
This is mainly a business oriented hotel, but works fine for families also. The rooms are extra big, clean and comfortable and the service is cordial and helpful. For below $120/night I think it is one of the best options around.

I was given a beautifully room on the 10th floor with a great view, and the free WIFI and Breakfast are definitely a plus. I could not try the Gym or the Jacuzzi, so no opinion on that.

The front desk is in poor condition; rooms are large but no wi-fi in the room. I looked for glasses or cups in the room, none to be found; went dwnstairs and asked for a couple of glasses, was told by the front desk they would rent it to me !!!
Never heard something like this......the hotel is a 4 star in the owners’ mind!

It is a good place to stay. Near good restaurants and a street with we can see a lot of bars and stores. It is also near a shopping and change shop. I certainly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is clean and beautiful . It is placed in a quiet street and we can sleep without noise.
I think it is good to have a fast dinner in it.

Boa noite, No hotel a vaga para o carro e qual valor?
Answer from Adriano S

Answer from Adriano S

Olá, a acomodação é confortável, não espere nada luxuoso, padrão IBIS, Nacional INN... são acomodações pequenas porém limpas. Café da manhã satisfatório sem muitas opções.
