We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in the middle of February and considered staying there for good (if only!). It feels like a very special place, charming and cozy, a retreat tucked in between mountains in the beautiful valley. Out of several hotels we stayed in in different parts of the country, this one stood out the most....

This hotel is beyond expectations. The setting is an old monastery. Many of the rooms still maintain the plaques from early nuns who had their own quarters. A beautiful church sits in the inner quart yard. A wonderful stay.

Free range llamas in park area across the street, and alpacas on the hotel grounds. Interesting old fashioned locks on room doors. Friendly staff. A great place to stay. Rooms were very clean, staff very nice and helpful. Food was good. Loved the free-roaming alpacas. Water temp in showered was a little temperamental, so just be careful. Beautiful peaceful grounds. There is a little gift shop, but not much variety.
