Hatun Wasi is a gem in magnificent Peru...and Isabel and Ernesto are amazing! Their establishment is charming, beautiful and filled with love. I felt so held by their graciousness and wisdom. They handled our group with grace, kindness, open-heartedness and diplomacy when necessary. Their willingness to share their knowledge about the history, culture and customs of Peru along with their...

Isabel and Ernesto of Hatun Wasi have truly created a restful and tranquil retreat center in the Sacred Valley of Peru. We appreciated the ambiance, the kitchen staff's five star service and the presence of the mountain Apus. Our host and hostess arranged all the details of our trip including excursions to sacred sites, bus travel and additional outside restaurants...

When my husband and I arrived at Hatun Wasi we were met by Ernesto (the Inn Keeper) with a hearty greeting of "Welcome Home!" (for those few of you not initiated in Quechua, the language of the ancient Incas, that's what "Hatun Wasi" means). Now, it's one thing to say "Welcome Home", it's another thing entirely to make one feel...

Absolutlely beautiful setting with lovely grounds. Owners and staff aimed to please and did so. Hutan Wasi in not a "fancy getaway", but is very clean and nice, actually quite idyllic. The food was excellent, as was the service. If one is looking for a place to rest and relax as they explore the Sacred Valley and then assend to...

Very peaceful retreat, great atmosphere, they grow a lot of their own fruits and vegetables in a garden. Free wifi, Enersto the owner is a great person and willing to help you at all times. I felt so relaxed staying there and got the best sleeps I've had in months.

Stayed for several nights as part of an Overseas Adventure Travel tour. The rooms are surrounded by greenery and great views of the mountains. The rooms are spartan but also functional. Modern bathrooms with great hot water and water pressure. Out side the rooms were thermos bottles filled with hot water, and an assortment of teas. The breakfast was served...

This is a wonderful place to stay in the Sacred Valley. We arrived late our first evening and Ernesto welcomed us to their lovely retreat and provided us with a very good meal. And I quote from another reviewer - "Isabel and Ernesto have created an oasis of peace and beauty. Their attention to detail provides comfort and beauty throughout...

I loved this retreat. Isabel and Ernesto have created an oasis of peace and beauty. Their attention to detail provides comfort and beauty throughout the grounds, rooms and food. Isabel and Ernesto themselves exude serenity and warmth as well. Memories of the stream running behind my room lulling me to sleep, the wonderful food and fabulous grounds are still fresh...

Just returned from an OAT's trip where we stayed 2 nights in this charming small hotel. The owner, Ernesto, was so welcoming and helpful. The food was good, nice bathrooms and bedrooms...you really felt you were in Peru. The grounds were gorgeous and there were pots of tea outside every room. They even offered theraputic massage and healing sessions, I...

In the middle of a tour, staying mostly in impersonal hotels, we stayed in this lovely inn in the Sacred Valley. The hosts live onsite, are available, friendly, warm, speak excellent English (for those of us who don't speak Spanish). They built the inn from scratch, based on a personal vision. It is an inn, a bit rustic, so not...
