We traveled with Maria and Steffen from #TastingTheRoad and they took us there the evening after hiking ruins all day. We were exhausted and this place was a perfect way to end the wonderful day. The showers were hot, the beers were cold and their hospitality was unbelievable. They were so sweet, welcoming and made for excellent company. I highly... More

We stayed at La Capilla Lodge for one night on our way back from Machu Picchu, and it was simply beautiful and super relaxing. Christophe and Rhomina are amazing hosts who made sure everything was taken care of. The lodge is situated in a quiet area outside Urubamba, off the main road, the rooms are designed traditional Peruvian, rustic and... More

From the warm welcome to the embrace at the end of our stay, we were enveloped into Chris' and Rhomina's hospitality. A bundle of energy, both understand to entertain and conduct business almost unnoticeably at the same time. Chris loves to mix drinks and to cook. No reason to go anywhere for that. Rhomina has many ideas of how to... More

Chris, the owner of La Capilla, made sure that our stay was nothing less than perfect. We ate most meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at the lodge -- the food was fantastic -- and we spent time in the spectacular garden. Chris was very helpful with recommending the best Inca sites and other sites to see nearby, as well as... More

From the outside it is hard to tell what is inside, as I walked through the doors and peered at the mountains, I sensed that I had arrived at a magical place, the owners of this lodge have created a serene and peaceful atmosphere that leaves one with the feeling that “All is really well in life” The attention to... The place is so lovely, so peaceful, and sunny too. The room was great -- with a view of the garden and a little patio overlooking the flowering garden with mountains in the background And the free breakfast and on-site dinner was great too. Not your ordinary stuff - homemade cereal, homemade yogurt, eggs, bread , jam, fruit juice. And... More
