The staff at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming. The restaurant served excellent food, fresh made pasta, and good service. The room was nice, comfortable beds, and nice bathroom with consistent hot water. The grounds were very pretty and it was a relaxing setting. We were happy we found El Abergue and would stay there again.

We stayed here 1 night before going to Macchu Picchu. Great location right next to train station, good value, helpful staff and great restaurant. A bit noisy at night because next to train tracks but I found it bearable.

We picked the El Albergue due to it's convenient location on the way to Machu Picchu, but I was very impressed by the hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, their restaurant served some excellent fare (including a solid vegetarian menu), and they give tours of their onsite organic farm (which provides vegetables to the restaurant). If I had...

Although access is via the busy train station this place is very peaceful and beautiful. We had the only room with a window facing the railway tracks and still were hardly not disturbed. The garden is great and we had excellent dinner at the restaurant. A perfect place to relax a bit after climbing and walking around Machu Picchu and...

My son and i shared a room after a tour of the Sacred Valley. Very nice rooms - not a lot of amenities, but the setting and location are perfect for the traveller. We ate our dinenr at the hotel (excellent alpaca burgers), and our breakfast (excellent) came with the room. The hotel itself is perfect for hopping an early...

Location is impossible to beat for access to Machu Picchu. Hotel itself is very charming, its a historical building right at the train station. We had a room at the back of the building, so noise from trains wasn't an issue. Breakfast was excellent, and hotel restaurant is certainly one of the best in the whole of Sacred Valley. We...

This hotel is located right at the train station. We occupied one of the triple rooms upstairs in the back-facing away from the train station. It has a rustic feel, while providing a great bed with a personal heater for those cool Peruvian nights. A nice breakfast was included in the room rate. The restaurant at night provided a menu...

Our room was comfortable and spacious, but what made staying here so nice was the restaurant and the proximity to the train station. The people at the front desk were very helpful with every request we made...being at the train station meant we didn't have to wait in line to catch our train to Machu Picchu and the restaurant was...

Very different and strangely charming but uncomfortable. It is based in the train station which is cool for the train to Mach Pichu. Breakfast was nice and ordered to how you want it. I had three single beds for one traveler and it is next to the platforms so the trains were very noisy! and kept me awake as had...

Staying at this hotel was a must after we discovered it was situated right on the train station platform. How unique is that! The hotel, with its close and easy proximity to PeruRail, was the perfect place for our overnight stopover before our trip to and from Macchu Picchu by train. Having said that, to get to the town plaza...
