We stayed here a year after good friends of ours and what a great recommendation they gave us! The rooms were spacious, our view was beautiful and the grounds were so peaceful! After two days adventuring to archaeological sites, we spent our third day laying in hammocks reading and playing cards in the sun. A perfect oasis for those wanting...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 February 2017

A bit of a later review was there in December 2014, but never too late, this place is unforgetable. When you first get off the train it looks like you're about to enter the station, that really worried me - and then it is a restaurant, then you go through the garden full of flowers and roses and hummingbirds. I...

This place was the surprise highlight of our trip. Being right on the train station platform I was expecting this hotel just to be a convenient stopover, and while the accommodation was perfectly adequate, we were so impressed with the restaurant - it was the best meal we ate in Peru. In fact due to train strikes we ate there...

This was our favorite hotel of our trip to Peru, by far. The hotel grounds are beautiful. There are lots of gardens and flowers between the buildings, and it makes the rooms feel more private and cabin-like. Behind the hotel is their organic farm. There's a beautiful view of the hillside when walking down the path between the hotel and...

We only stayed here one night, and while it was absolutely perfect for that night-rolling off a late train coming back exhausted from Machu Picchu, I am so glad we chose to stay on the complete opposite side of town for our initial three nights. The hotel is very nice, the staff super friendly, the breakfast very good, the grounds...

The hotel is located in the railway station of Ollantaytambo that makes it the most convenient place to start your trip to Machu Picchu and catch an early train directly from your hotel. This historical building with luxury ecological twist is awesome. White walls with wooden creaking floors and antique styled bathroom in the middle of wonderful garden. The best...

We only stayed one night but wished we had visited longer (instead of Tambo del Inka—see my other review). Although the hotel is not super-luxury, Ollanta is charming, and the restaurant at the hotel is outstanding. We stayed in what I think is called the cottage which was comfortable and had a kitchen, so is perfect for longer term guests....

This hotel is wonderful! The staff go out of their way to be helpful. Thanks Julia and Natalie! Our room was large and very clean. The bath while small was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. The grounds are literally a garden. While we were there (March 2017) many beautiful fragrant flowers were in bloom. It was a delight...

This place is terrific for location, delicious food, gardens, friendly staff, BUT while many reviews mention train noise, that isn't what bothered us. Our room was by the train tracks and the fumes from the train were horrible. Rooms at the back of the hotel had gorgeous views and no fumes. We'll book one of those rooms next time.

Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize for the train fumes in your room. We recommend to guests staying in the Standard rooms closest to the train platform to keep their windows shut while the train is idling on the platform. We are currently looking into other ways to mitigate this disturbance. Thanks again for...

We were not pleased with this hotel for a number of reasons. First, our booking confirmation specified a balcony room. While there was a sitting area outside of our room that was accessible from anywhere on the hotel grounds, there was no balcony. We brought the matter to the attention of Julia, the manager on duty, stating that the standard...

Thanks for your feedback. I sincerely apologize for your disappointment. We did everything possible to accommodate you during your stay, and I'm sorry our efforts did not meet your expectations. We are taking your comments into consideration as we plan for future room renovations. If you decide to return to Ollantaytambo, we would be happy to offer you a discounted...
