Just look for your name on a sign. You will be picked up at the train station. very clean rooms ,breakfast, good hot showers . All that one needs to get a great start on your Waynapicchu climb the next morning. They even give you a banana a must for the day. You can leave your stuff in the hotel...

A friend and I just stayed here for 1 night. Here are some highlights: PROS - great location: close to the train station, on a main street, easy to find - we tried to leave at 3:30am to wait in line for the bus up to machu picchu. we found ourselves trapped in the lobby (front door was locked), but...

I stayed here for 2 nights and would certainly recommend it. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy, the staff were friendly and the location was spot on. The bedroom only had a very small window as you can see from my photo but the room was still very light in the day. Yes I could hear the...

Good location...near enough to the train station so that you're not breaking your back while you carry your luggage...but not so near that the train whistle wakes you. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, hot water in the shower (yay!), nice/friendly staff, soap and a little packet of shampoo/conditioner provided, TV in the room (only 4 channels- but who goes there to...

They came to pick us up at the train station. Room was clean though hot shower was only available for one person. It's a bit removed from the train tracks so you probably won't be bothered by any train noise. I would suggest asking to see the room before you take it. One of the rooms we were shown bordered...

We paid $50/night, I think, for a double with queen bed. The 1st night, the room was pretty decent except for no shelf or counter in the bathroom for toiletries (I don't understand why putting in a shelf for my toothpaste and toothbrush is so hard?). The room faced the river, though, which seemed insanely loud. The bass from some...

We stayed here on May 17th, 2010. As we got of the train station, we were greeted right outside and escorted to the hostal. The staff was very helpful in providing us information about the town and purchasing MP tickets since we arrived late sun. night (around 9:30pm). He walked w/ us to the INC office to get the tickets...

We spent 2 nights at Chaska hostel in Aguas Calientes. Remarks: 1. they said they would come to pick us up at the train station, but they did not show up, so we had to find the way ourselves 2. our room had a window on the corridor without a lock, that is you could open it from the corridor...

We spent three nights at the Hostal de Turistas Chaska in May 2009. The three-night stay worked out great because it allowed us to spend two full days at Machu Picchu. Aguas Calientes is not known for great low-cost hotel options, and we would recommend the Hostal Chaska given the other choices. We thought the price was reasonable, and the...

They didn't know anything about the reservation from this site. In the Hostal Chaska it is normal, I think. On the other hand, the price is to expensive in relation to services that they offer us. The breakfest is poor. And, finally, when we tried to pay, we knew that they hadn't credit card. A hostal like this, much more...

“But do not book a single room there, they were small, undecorated, and no windows plus the cost was 150% of the rate per person in the double rooms. The double rooms were either on the front or back of three floors, with large windows.”
