Everything here is simple but it is what you pay for. The location is good, literally 70m from the train station and about 120m from where you catch the bus to machu picchu. No problems, breakfast is not flash but is edible.

Host Marta went overboard to prepare individual breakfast containers for those of us going early to climb Machu Piccu. Hotel was kept very clean, too. Beds were very comfortable. Location was excellent, and hotel staff met us at the train station.

I booked this room two months in advance on booking.com. We were greeted very kindly by two young women and promptly shown to our room #21 one flight up from the lobby and with large windows facing a small town square and the river. The pleasant room was very clean with 1 queen bed, 1 sng bed and a small... More

The hotel manager Martha was one of the nicest hotel employees that I have ever interacted with, back home or abroad. She was helpful with advice, flexible for each and every request- keeping our bags an extra day, serving breakfast late, hanging our clothes to dry after the rain, etc. she was great to talk to and was very honest... This hotel is right next to the school , which was OK for us as we are early risers (to get into the market!) however the music as the school bell goes for a while. the hotel is very basic, wifi is free but not too strong, but do-able. Plumbing wasn't the best toilets would stop running and two of... More

You only go to this area to visit the ruins at Machu Picchu and it is such a historical area they have restrictions on development, so keep in mind there aren't that many hotels to choose from. It isn't one of the hotels I would have chosen on my own, but I was travelling with my Daughters' school group and... More

Great value compared to other hostels in the area. The breakfast was good and they fed us before our hike to Machu Picchu at 5am. The staff were friendly and we felt safe leaving our belongings there. They even watched our bags when we were not staying another night. The shower was hot at times and cold at other times.

“But do not book a single room there, they were small, undecorated, and no windows plus the cost was 150% of the rate per person in the double rooms. The double rooms were either on the front or back of three floors, with large windows.”
