The thing that stuck me first was the cleanliness and quality of the bedding. Despite the language barrier, the staff was quite helpful. It is only one or two blocks from the plaza and presidential palace.

This hotel was a nice hotel decades ago, now is not bad but i think it could recover the shine of the old times. The location however is good very close to the main square, museums. Have good pisco sours & breakfast

Dear Maury Hotel. You are a national treasure fallen on hard times. I can imagine the glitterati flocking here 100 years ago when Monsieur Maury was alive but now I am afraid you are badly in need of some tender loving care. You need sizeable investment to restore yourself to your former glory. Having said that and taking into account...

The room was great with a massive bed and a great location for walking to sights around town. However, like others have said previously no wifi staff are no good unless you speak english. I wasn't told about breakfast either, found my own way there then they started removing the food as others were arriving for breskfast. But here is...

Staff at front desk seemed as though they didn't want to be there, uninterested, eye rolling. Told at check in that breakfast is at 7am, get there and breakfast still not ready at 7.45am, not sure what was happening? Eggs were really oily. Only person with a smile on his face was the security guard at the front door. Wouldn't...

The hotel is pretty elegant and beautiful, and the location is perfect. But the service was pretty poor. The receptionist looked like she didn't want to talk with us. And although you can see the SSID of WiFi, when you connect to it, you actually can't get on the internet. And the staff didn't do anything about it.

The bar is rivalled by none, however I was super disappointed that the hotel could not control its rowdy guests. Had a neighbour who partied till 3am (at least) and the hotel's solution was to move me and my partner to another room (at 3am). Terrible way to treat guests. Pity, cause the hotel was beautiful, if in a dated...

We stayed here for three nights before going onto the Amazon. It is a great location, literally one block from the main Plaza Mayor. One can see all the main downtown sights from here. The hotel is old fashioned: internal decor, rooms, dining area and reception, say 1960's style? The bathrooms have been brought up to date and the room...

we have travelled 4 weeks in peru and pisco is one of our favorite drinks! so after this extensive tests and searches, we can tell you, that the best pisco sour you get in the bar of the hotel maury in lima. sure enough the hotel does not look very inviting, but the bar is very stylish in the good...

Like so many others, we didn't stay at the hotel, but definitely enjoyed the bar. While we are not Pisco Sour experts, the one they served was wonderful. I know I wouldn't want to have too many of them as the drink definitely packed a punch so this was not a watered down tourist version. At $4US, the drink was...
