A basic cheap hostel made great by the staff - Paola gives great advice for exploring the city, and the airport transfer was arranged by the hostel, which is great especially if you arriving late. Good breakfast as well.

This was a really nice little hostel - comfy beds, kitchen facilities, quiet at night, super fast wifi and a great location (10-15 mins walk to the centre of Miraflores, close to bus stops and a big supermarket, and just a few blocks from the malécon and beach), but what really made it exceptional was the amazing staff! Nice and very helpful staff. The rooms are clean and towels and soaps were provided. It'd be even better if the kitchen was cleaner. Bathrooms were pretty clean during my stay. My shower was OK, but I heard some other showers were broken.

We arrived to Lima very late after problems with our flight and missing our connection. Explorer's House were able to accommodate us last minute in a cosy room for a great price. The lady owner was so nice and welcoming and went out of her way to speak to multiple travel agencies on our behalf to try and get us...

The hostel itself is clean and basic, I'd say very good for the price. Paula is extremely helpful and speaks very good english and they have a really nice rooftop terrace. Simple breakfast included. Very good WIFI. Not a party hostel.

This place is disgusting, i don't know how it has so many good reviews which is why we came here. After travelling for 5 months in cheap hostels, some questionable but still bearable or having a nice atmosphere that makes up for it, this is on another level. It stinks of damp and toilet, and is super dingy and unclean....

We have been to explorers house a few days ago. It was a good stay, very cheap and clean. We liked the roofterrace a lot. I gave Only 4 points because the breakfast was just two rolls with Marmelade and it was very hot at night in the room. But overall we really liked it there.

We stayed two nights. The first night we barely got any sleep. Guests drank until early hours of the morning, then a French guest decided to Skype home around 5am. We thought this would be a quiet, non party hostel but we were disappointed. We stayed on the roof top level where all of the social gatherings occurred. A room...

This was our third stay at Explorer's House. We like coming here because of the great location and friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is a short walk to the beach and to the heart of Miraflores. The manager, Paola, arranged airport pickup for a midnight arrival. She also arranged our bus tickets for onward travel. We felt safe and secure...
