I actually traveled in July 2019 for a weaving workshop in Lima. I wanted a location that was close to the workshop but also convenient for Barranco itself as I planned to stay nearly 2 weeks. Lima Wari fit the bill. I shared a room with another woman in my course. Our room was huge with high ceilings. We shared bathrooms but the hotel had a great woman's bathroom even with a chair for your clothes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A very nice breakfast was included daily and their small restaurant also offered good lunches at a reasonable price. Further the price for the twin room was very good for a long stay. All in all a very positive experience.

Lima Wari was an awesome place to stay. We loved the neighborhood! The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted with recommendations of places to go, arranging transportation around the city and to the hotel.

Our room was very clean and comfortable! There was also a beautiful balcony for sitting out an having a beer, which you can purchase in the lobby. I would highly recommend staying here!

Cozy little hotel with a motivated, friendly and helpful staff and spacious rooms. Features a nice little restaurant with a lush green terrace. We went there during our honeymoon and they really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Recommend.

Great hostel, the common areas are cozy and the shared bathrooms are nice. Lovely and helpful staff. The rooms are big and nicely decorated. The hotel is placed in a nice area not too far from the harbour:)

We stayed in a few places throughout Peru and this was definitely one of the better hostels. Clean beds, very spacious rooms, good clean bathroom with hot water, good breakfast in the morning, free WiFi. The garden also smelled amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english perfectly. No complaints here. I would give this place two thumbs up and recommend that you stay here!

I have never seen a hotel staff go more out of their way to help a guest than at Lima Wari. My boyfriend and I spent 5 wonderful nights in this gorgeous restored casona. The whole place oozes class and beauty. I left a day before my boyfriend. The day I left he started having chest pains. The staff noticed that he did not come down for breakfast so one of them came up to his room to check on him. The chest pains continued so Evelyn quickly jumoed into a mother role and took him to the hospital. she stayed with him at the hospital until after his surgery and kept in touch with me by text then whole time. She coordinated everything for him. I flew back to Lima the next day and stayed there another week until he was released. They had a room waiting for me were so supportive. When my boyfriend returned from the hospital the staff had left a beautiful card and flowers in our room. This staff team is so full of love. We both consider Lima Wari a second home and the staff extended family! Thank you xoxo we will never forget your kindness and attention to detail.

Quiet hostel in Barranco. Not many people there so felt quite sterile, very clean. Front desk helpful enough when needing advice. Only can call one taxi company from hostel which is more expensive than others.
Room: spacious and clean.
Bathroom: Women's bathroom had only very lukewarm water both days. No hand towels in any bathrooms.
Breakfast: standard peru breakfast. No kitchen facilities to use to cook own food.
Wifi: seemed to work ok most of the time.
Our stay here was marred by a small incident. We had eaten some mango in our room and used the towel to clean our hands. Upon check out we were told that we would be charged 20 soles to launder the towel as we had soiled it, We explained that this was a ridiculous charge and that it is much cheaper than that to clean a towel. We tried to negotiate, offered to launder the towel ourselves and explained that there was no hand towels to wash and dry our hands on so what else would we use? To no avail, we ended up paying the 20 soles to make the problem go away, There was also no signage in the hostel or in the rooms indicating that there could be a charge for spoiled towels. This incident was disappointing and has unfortunately contributed to the bad review.

The place is very quaint. The staff was extremely hospitable; helped us figure out hot water ( which worked amazing on the 2nd fl women's room) , fetched hot water for us many times, free drinking water, taxi service, ect. Edgar and all the staff were so helpful too.

The only negative was a musty smell in the room and the place was a bit cold (old building)

The hostel is on a heavily polluted and busy street in the Barranco area. Not a super pretty part of Barranco either. The hostel itself is nice enough. We got a large room on the street which meant that it was super noisy to the extent that you could not sleep during the night. The breakfast is sad. Aside from these points my real issue with the hostel is that the staff double charged us and then tried to tell us that the quoted price was incorrect. The two women at the desk knew they messed up and thought going back and forth with us would get us to give up on requesting our money back. Did not feel they were honest. I would not recommend at all.

I stayed in this hostel for 2 weeks in Lima and there is nothing to fault! The hostel in general is beautiful, has lots of space, is clean and has comfortable beds in the dorm rooms. But none of this compared to the service of all the staff: the cleaners, receptionists and owners, who were all so welcoming and helpful.

The atmosphere is rather quiet, and the breakfast is standard (bread, jam, coffee and juice). I also paid less than what I would have expected for a place that looks like it could be a hotel (35-40 soles per night for a dorm bed)

The location is great: on a main street in Barranco, close to the main plaza and about 10-15 mins to the beach.

Overall, I loved my stay here, and thank you to all the amazing staff!

Hi Georgina TA has asked me for help. I stayed there last week. I got in very early and got my room at 10am. The boy on reception is sweet but easily confused. I am sure you can leave bags there it is very secure and a nice croissant place a block away towards the main square. They charge 5% for cards btw. Andrew.
