Good location in Baranco. The room was very basic, but ok. We had a room towards the court yard and it was quiet. The breakfast was disappointing for a European. We like something a bit more substantial, at least cheese. Nice and helpful staff. The owner is a flea market collector and the hostal is decorated with stuff from old... More

This hostel is well located. The reception staff are pleasant, friendly and welcoming. They take personal belongings at the reception and keep them in a safe. This is a service worth availing of as Lima is not the safest of cities. The rooms are very clean with nice en suites. There is a comfortable communal area near the breakfast room.... More

I stayed here at the end of a trip with G-Adventures and liked it. The room was clean and functional and the breakfast good. Some lovely common areas with sofas to sit and chat with friends. The best of this hotel though, by far, was the incredibly nice amd helpful staff. Whether it was for booking taxis, tips for readtaurants... More

I stayed here three separate times during a month-long trip to Peru. My first stay was in a room that overlooked the street. That would have been okay if the police in Lima (and in Peru in general) would kindly crack down hard on car-alarm violators. A car alarm went off--no exaggeration--four to six times an hour, all night long,... More

We stayed here for one night at the start of our G Adventures tour. We were lucky to be able to check in at 12.30 when we arrived, so could dump our things in our room. It's a fairly basic hotel, but was decently clean. Staff were lovely, and always helped my questions - even providing extra toilet roll when... More

A great place to stay for those who prefer the laid back environment of Barranco to the glitz of Miraflores. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable so getting into Lima was no problem. Staff members are super – helpful, friendly, and make you feel at home. Lodging is excellent for those on a budget and there is an elevator which makes... More

The rooms were quite hot even though the temperatures outside were not, and the beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. The breakfast was free, but didn't include eggs or fruit. The main thing I disliked about this hotel was the noise levels. When people entered or exited their rooms the entire hallway and those below or above could hear, and rooms... More

Good hostel in Lima, 15-20 minute cab drive from old town but in Bohemian side of the city that's got good restaurants (Familia Restaurante is amazing) nearby. Breakfast is just bread with butter and jam with some coffee, tea or juice and you can pay some extra for scrambled eggs. Really friendly staff with good knowledge of the area and... More

Located in the centre of Barranco and easy walking distance to Miaflores we were really happy with this hotel. The route to Miaflores was pretty much straight along a main road and then snaking the beautiful costal path to the main plaza, really close or a very cheap bus/taxi away. I stayed on floor 3 and had wifi in my... More

Hostal Gemina was a pleasant surpise! After scouring the internet for a last minute place to stay, we chose Hostal Gemina a bit apprehensively because it was so inexpensive and so close to the Barranco center, and it turned out to be a great place to stay! The staff was very helpful and the rooms spacious. The breakfast was better... More
