The room was clean and tidy. The food is excellent, Fiotella is an excellent cook! The village was very quiet as it was the low season. A great 1st stop of our Peru trip! Consistent spot for surfing left and right waves, be careful of the urchins!

We went for part of our honeymoon July 2016. The trip there from Lima was a bit scary at night if you go through the city. The costal highway is better. The hotel is very nice. The owner Antonio is amazing. He looks after everything and is kind and attentive. The food cooked by Antonio (breakfast) and his wife (lunch/dinner)... More

Very nice place. Food was great. Antonio and Fruella were really nice. You should definitely try her ceviche. The break at San Bartolo can get a bit crowded. Added to that is that there are quite a few longboarders and even worse - paddleboarders. That said, we had a good time. Caught a lot of good waves. There are a... More

We stumbled onto the hotel as a wind-down after tripping round South America. We were met and transferred from the airport and delivered to our room and welcomed with the best beef we have ever eaten! Woke up to a lovely view of the surf and a fresh and healthy breakfast. The cooking for the 4 nights and 5 days... More

Accommodation was very clean (housekeeping each day), bright and exceedingly comfortable, food exquisite for all 3 meals (excellent cook with fresh fish etc. each day), in addition to breakfast, surfing right outside, 3 breaks to choose from all within short 5 minute stroll on ocean side, worth the hour trip south of Lima away from crowds, Antonio, the owner, absolutely... More of a B & B vibe with only a handful of rooms. Antonio and his family are gracious hosts. Located right by two breaks in San Bartolo and also by Penascal Point if it's big enough. Antonio is a wealth of local surf knowledge and is happy to share it with you. He took the time to show us... More

I stayed at Penascal Surf Hotel for five nights during my recent vacation to Peru. The hotel owner, Antonio, helped arrange for a taxi to pick me up from the airport. My room was very clean and comfortable. Meals are included and prepared by Antonio's wife, Fiorella (who is a very talented chef!). I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with Fiorella... More
