It is a one-star hotel. It was recommended to me by our tour operator and I regret I've stayed there. First, they didn't care to provide the rooms I specifically requested (after reading reviews here) even though I made a reservation 6 months in advance. Not only that, one of the rooms was a one-bed room (we were a party...

Though cute, this place was absurdly cold -- so much that we decided one night was enough. The staff was mostly nice, but there was a lot of confusion over arranging a cab and trying to donate a book to their lending library. There are far better places is Cusco you'd be better served by... unless you speak excellent Spanish...

We were delighted upon entering our room at Hostal Suecia 1. First of all, this was our first nice place to stay in a week (we had been "roughing it" at backpacker hostels through Peru), so this place seemed all the more heavenly! I was traveling through Peru with my husband and brother, and we had the family room. When...

This hostel is tiny with very few rooms but it is right off the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are spartan, small but clean and I believe they all have private bathrooms. I think I paid 80 or 90 Soles for a single room. Tina the manager is extremely nice and helpful. Her English is not great but if you...

This hotel is very conveniently located. Here is what I liked about it: location, clean, hot water, nice staff, fair breakfast in the morning. Here is what I thought could be improved upon: the rooms were cold (I slept with my sweater on) and you will probably need ear plugs because of the location (clubs near by and people out...

Hostal Suecia I is just fair! It is not charming, in spite of the internal balcony and the hanging chandelier, but the rooms and bathrooms are clean, matresses are good and the localization (half square from Plaza Mayor) is very convenient. Considering that prices in Cusco tend to be expensive, Hostal Suecia is a good option. The breakfast is fair...

The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the knowledge of English is poor. The hostal is very close to the central place in Cusco, Plaza de Armas. The breakfast is every morning the same but is good and enough to start the day. I arrived in the morning at 7 and they let me in my room without extra...

We stayed in Suecia 1 on two separate occasions, when we first arrived in Cusco, using it as a base as we travelled to Inca Trail and again before we flew out of Cusco. We paid 120 soles for a matrimonial room, there was no low season price but the good thing was that the hostal was very quiet and...

My favorite thing about this hostal was that it was steps away from the main square in Cusco. I was so easy to go to a restaurant, find a money exchange, go souveneir shopping or just hang out. The room itself was simple but very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is provided and is simply but a good start...

Hostal Suecia I is a cosy and familiar bed & breakfast in a carefully conditioned 16th century house built in the early Spanish presence in Cusco. We are located just off the Main Square, at the very heart of Cusco.
