While driving to the hotel on narrow cobblestone streets I didn't have high expectations. Especially when I saw the barred door in a cramped space. Then I walked through the door and felt I was in a completely different place. Just lovely with a little garden/seating area with a fountain, much larger area then I expected and just an elegant...

Rumi Punku is a wonderfully charming escape from the hustle of Cusco. The hotel courtyard is hidden from the side street of one of the highlights of the San Blas area in Cusco. Pass through the classic Inca doorway and you will think you have been magically transported to Spanish colonial times. The series of small courtyards are clean, quiet...

We stayed here both before and after our trip to Machu Picchu and could not be happier with the hotel and the staff. Very good location within a short walk to the plaza and restaurants, but on a quit street away from the traffic and noise. Good breakfast served early for those on a tight schedule as we were. They...

It is impossible not to fall in love with the beautiful colonial architecture at Rumi Punku, complete with original Inka stone door, and a lot of character. The service here is also very good and helpful. Whilst the hotel is quite big it still manages to retain a quiet intimate atmosphere as it is built around various courtyards and has...

The hotel staff is very helpful and with a good command of English. The location couldn´t be much better. It is about a 10 minute walk to the main square - close enough but not near enough for the noise and conjestion. The rooms are large, basic but with everything you will need. It has great hot water with plenty...

So having just ridden a mototaxi 3000km accross Peru the hotel was a welcome sight the staff were great, helpful, insightful and full of smiles, the rooms wonderful and it was close enought to all the action to make it great and just far enough away so as to not be disturbed, a fantastic place to stay. They also managed...

stayed here before and after an Inka Trail hike, this is a fantastic little hotel with 5-star service. The lobby, lounge and restaurant are all really quite nice and the courtyards are perfect. Room wasn't quite 5 star, but for the price it too was perfect. Had multiple dealings with the front desk, from an early check-in to arranging a...

Rumi Punku was the best place we stayed on our trip. Everything about it was great, from the comfortable room to the lovely breakfast. The free computer usage was so helpful. I was a little surprised, but they were happy for us to pay for our stay once we returned from Macchu Picchu for our final night at the hotel....

My wife and I we stayed there over a week, both before and after the Inca trail. When coming in, you get a coca tea, which helps to prevent the usual headache due the altitude. With sugar, it tastes good and it helps also for other issues in your stomach! :) The Rumi is at walking distance (approx. 10 minutes)...

I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay in Cusco and this was the perfect choice. We spent three nights there, stored our luggage for one night while we went to Machu Picchu. The courtyards and flowers are lovely. We had two superior rooms (rooms 307 and 308) with excellent views. We were really happy to have the...
