Cold, no heat, must pay extra for rental heater and or hair dryer, water in bathroom smelled of sewage, no window to outside only to common hallway, in our room. Told bottled water provided every two days but then charged for it,no fruit at breakfast as shown in brochure, bread put out on each table before guests are up thus...

I brought a group of 8 people to stay here for about 10 days. We had really good communication before arriving to Peru and I was asked to send half the fee as a deposit through Western Union. This all went smoothly and made sense to me. The staff, Sarina and Yovana were wonderful! Both women did everything they could...

Everything that was described to us in writing and in person was FALSE! We were over charged for tour to Machu Pichu, cab rides, transportation and hotel. We were asked to send half deposit by Western Union and solicited to buy toys for their children in exchange for 40$ ride from airport to hotel. We found out this ride is...

As the titles suggests, we encountered both good and bad during our stay in Joma. We stayed for 3 nights before the Inca Trail and 2 nights afterwards. GOOD: we arrived early on the first morning and were immediately allowed check in to our room. This was great after a 10 hour bus journey. BAD: when asked could we have...

Staffs are very kind from the time when we got here to when we leave Cusco. Rooms are cozy and you can take hot shower 24 hours. But it is not recommended to take shower at the first day you arrived at Cusco because of high altitude sickness. Breakfast is good enough, coffee is nice! Coca tea is offered every...

We got the perfect room, with a window to the outside (which for us in Peru was rare!) and a nice bed. And what happens if something is perfect? You get asked to change rooms - apparently the manager forgot to reserve this room for another person (who seemed to be more important than us...). He kind of begged us...

We've been in this hostel in September 2012 for 5 days. It's a small but very special place. Besides the good rooms, breakfast and wifi, what does this place really good are the owners Jose and Magali. They (and all the staff as well) are extremely kind, honest, patient and helpful. They can get [almost] everything you need. It's very...

This place is more like a hotel. Best rooms I have been in. Went to make tea and staff insisted they would do it and no washing up. Helped me upload a month of photos overnight. Great breakfast. Looked after our stuff while we were on the inca trail. If you want some luxury this is the place to come.

The owners and staff of Joma Hostels were excellent. Everyone operated in love towards the team (we had 19 people staying there) and were quick to help solve problems and make our stay comfortable. Rooms were well kept, breakfast flexible(but on time), and attitudes were wonderful. Laundry service was available and the owners went above and beyond in areas such...

Run by a family, Joma is such a pleasure to stay at. Their service and attentiveness to our needs was nothing short of astonishing - they would preempt and anticipate things, being prepared and ready to serve always. It's the only place I'll stay in Cuzco - somewhere I go at least once a year.

“Make sure you get a window”

“room 204 is a triple room that had a window to the outside but not over the street so it was great for the sun but not noisy. I would stay away from 203 as there is no window at all in it, and 202 has two single beds and a large window, but it opens into the hallway.”

“We stayed in the room (201). It was on the top floor facing the road. The big window was a great help after our 5 day hike to freshen up the room from our dirty clothes and us. HAHA”
