This is probably the best city centre hotel we've ever stayed in - and we've stayed in quite a few. Part of the hotel is a restored 16th century convent and the rest is new but so well done you just can't tell. It is delightful and rather spectacular, especially the court yard, which is a haven of peace and...

Make sure to let them know if your a platinum member since it allowed us a super valuable upgrade to a room with a great view of the courtyard. The staff goes above and beyond to predict your needs and surpass your expectations. If you're trying to decide between the Conveto hotel and the JW then pick the JW. It's...

Very nice stay in a convenient area. Walk to many historical sites. The staff at this hotel were extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. Especially Alexander (the great) who made us feel very welcomed. The rooms are spacious and have oxygen pumped in - we did notice the windows were locked, however we felt that is was due to the oxygen...

Excellent 5 star hotel. Located in an elaborately restored 16th-century convent here in the heart of Cusco. Very nice rooms and has 1 of the best Peruvian cuisine Restaurant in the city. The hotel is very well maintained and has very friendly helpful staff.

This is a very unique and special hotel. It was the ruins of an Augustinian monastery when Marriott bought it several years ago. Be sure to take the 6 pm tour and also check out the book in the lobby which shows before, during, and after renovations. Marriott did a fantastic job of maintaining the character of the original building...

The historic building is amazing and so is the reception area. Go there and enjoy a drink at the bar. But when it comes to the rooms, they are more or less all same small size and you are not able to open the windows, even on ground floor. No need to stay here overnight, better opportunities nearby.

Dear docholiday57, Thank you for sharing your comments with us and for choosing the JW Marriott El Convento Cusco for your stay. We very much regret that your experience was not what you have expected, as you know our hotel is situated in the old Saint Augustine Convent, which is Cultural Patrimony and we cannot modify the original structures. The Marriott was spectacular, the staff couldn't be more helpful, location excellent for walking the city and the hotel a real part of the trip. The hotel sits on top of ruins and offer daily tours at 6:00 explaining this beautiful architecture

Checked in for two nights, have stayed at many Marriott hotels and this property is amazing. Old convent converted to four story hotel in 2012. Restaurant was very good especially the buffet breakfast. Staff is very efficient and friendly. Take the 30 min tour of hotel history at 6 pm. Rooms spacious and clean close to main square.

From the moment we arrived and stepped out of the cab we were treated as if we were a Royal couple. The building itself is an architect masterpiece. The rooms were spacious. Showers were outstanding! The courtyard in the middle of the building made an awesome place to relax and enjoy a drink. My wife and I stayed there for...

I used my Marriott points to stay at this one of a kind hotel. We were greeted very warmly by Milagros Dominguez and she transformed our stay into an incredible memory. Every detail of the hotel makes it so special. Our room was lovely, enjoyed the heated pool and sauna, and had quite a feast at the breakfast buffet. If...

“Recommend you to stay away from the Inca Wall rooms as they are in the basement. You would have a window overlooking an illuminated wall.”
